I'm very, very tired. I spend most of the day sitting here, posting my silly graphics, hoping that those who can, but don't usually donate will decide to make a change. A change that will allow this wonderful site, with its wonderful owner to continue on. I do it because I respect and care about many of the people here and also, because I love this country.

To read your remarks was more than a disappointment.

The last couple FReepathons have had great graphics. Just so long as the ostrich and grinning goat are history....

Welcome to FR.

A brokered convention might be brilliant but it's hard to imagine this party producing a great nominee through that process.

For me Santorum is a disaster. Review of his PA election results show his only path to victory is a lopsided turnout among men. That's how he was reelected in 2000 where he got about 48% of women and in 2006's rebuke he lost 61% of women. He's a big spender having chosen to propose and vote for $550m extra on top of a $900m Amtrak budget. He was the senate architect of "The K Street Project" to build strong GOP ties with lobbyists and his history there involves some very deep weeds. He trumpets his wife's homeschooling their kids yet, immorally and unethically in my view, took $72,000 away from a PA school district while they lived in VA--it's one of the issues that destroyed him in 2006. He is interventionist, too hawkish in my view. Among other issues, he voted to confirm Sonya Sotomayor for the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals knowing she'd be fast tracked to the Supreme Court and, wouldn't you know it, she was Obama's first nominee there. Somehow John McCain found it in himself to vote NO yet Santorum did not. He's a social conservative on traditional marriage and abortion but the rest of his record, and his agenda, are something else. He was the 3rd ranked Senate leader when he fire by PA voters. He's establishment.

Romney can't be trusted. He's malleable and a pushover. He'll be pushed Left. It might be a poll-tested era like Clinton. He's the establishment's front man but not their only man.

Ron Paul is interesting on fiscal policy and reducing gov't but his foreign policy take on Iran is too risky, too fringe. I can get many of the positives of Paul without the foreign policy nuttiness in another candidate.

I'm most comfortable with Newt. He has a wide-ranging agenda that is good for all Americans. His record is well know, well vetted, one demonstrating reform and fighting for it at the highest level and he has the capacity to inspire coupling his understanding of history with his zest for knowledge on issues. Among those running, I think and believe he's the candidate we need in the White House next January.

Unfortunately for us all, I suspect the electorate is still suicidal and will go elsewhere regardless of the GOP nominee.

Sounds like we agree on most all of this. Thanks for the word on Rick Santorum. My gut told me he was a second tier candidate at best.

Let’s pray Newt gets a good bounce out of the debates, he needs it.

Yeah, I saw his apology .. it seems as though brow beating a good natured noob has earned you another scalp for your belt.

I also saw a number of other posts gently chiding you for being tough on the new guy over the semantics of his use of the word "post" in the place of "thread" or "article" ... and for accusing him of posting "bald faced lies".

So, victory is yours pyx, you've convinced me that you're right and I'm wrong. I surrender to the power of your superior intellect.

"Oh, FOAD. And STFU, MFPOS."

"Die a Godless death, of painful cancer, alone, unloved, and unnoticed by the world."

_________________________________________________

Wow. You must be very proud of your last two comments to me, quoted above. The cutesy acronym profanities remind me of some devious, excrement throwing chimp. Did one get access to your keyboard?

FOAD=F**k Off And Die
STFU=Shut The F**k Up
MFPOS=Mother F***ing Piece of Sh*t
...UrbanDictionary.com

So you, or the chimp, goaded me into thinking up a snappy insult reply which was catchier and more clever than yours (Hey rigaboo, go shoot the squirrel or whatever it is you do.)

I guess the needle hit a nerve, so you thought up this garbage..."Die a Godless death, of painful cancer, alone, unloved, and unnoticed by the world."

You don't really think I give a damn about your comments to me, do you? I've just never seen crap like that in this Forum before. I'll tell you this: you are one sick, mean bastard. If you, or the chimp, hurl any more excrement at me I'll have a little surprise for you.

But this could be our own private hurling thread now...just kidding. Actually I regret trying to insult you. I imagine that you are actually a decent guy. For the surprise I was going to send you some of my favorite Bible verses.

Dude, you suck, because you apologizing means I have to apologize. I HATE APOLOGIZING.

Sorry.

You got my freepmail, I suppose, that explains what I do to ferret out in-real-life a-holes on the forum? Do you understand what I was doing now?

Send me the verses. I can never get too close to God. :)
