Skip to comments. How About Gun Control for the Pentagon? (Yes, they went there)

There has to be a national conversation about gun control, says Nancy Pelosi. The killing of school children and teachers in Newtown, Connecticut and other shootings since have turned up the heat.
If, after Newtown, its all talk and no action, the former House Speaker said this week, itll amount to a dereliction of duty on the part of us in public office.
Too right. Pelosi wants to see action. The presidents demanding it too. So are state leaders. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has his sights set on the presidency (if youll excuse the expression), has proposed not only rewriting the states existing assault weapons ban but also more expansive mental health checks and background checks of gun buyers, lower limits on how many bullets a single gun magazine can fire and a new requirement that gun buyers be periodically recertified.
At the level of congress and the states, all sights (if youll excuse the expression again) are set on gun control. State district attorneys are joining the call for reform and almost 100 lawmakers have signed onto a proposal to limit handgun purchases to just one gun a month. (Apparently one a month is too strict a diet for the other 435.)
Theres just one piece of the picture missing...

okay. democrats kill unarmed, defenseless children and teachers, by mandating gun free zones at public schools. discuss.
The Pentagon already has gun control in force. As far as I’m concerned, the Fort Hood shootings resulted directly from it.
Many of these proposals ignore the fact that the guns didn’t belong to the Sandy Hook shooter, as others have surely pointed out. So regulations like these wouldn’t have stopped his mother from owning them. Shapiro on Piers Morgan’s show suggested mandating they be locked up when a mentally ill person is in the household, but even that seems to be sidestepping that shootings like these are as much, if not more, a mental health issue. I recall, hopefully correctly, that the Columbine shooters sought to kill more of their fellow students with a bomb than with their guns. If that hadn’t failed, and they had no guns, would they have just gone home and had lunch?
Hey Nancy you slack jawed gutter slut ...if your so concerned about this why no action on gun control from 2008 to 2010 when you had the house, senate and White House ?
I think your a posing pandering polidiot bitch that is using dead babies to further a different agenda..... I hope and pray your judged before God ASAP for your crimes .
Please excuse my verbiage.... Wasn’t aware pretty ladies were still up at this hour ....:o)
Hugs right back around you, dearest Squantos!
No need to apologize.
Your words are necessary when talking about Piglosi!
This article convinced me, we cannot have gun control. We need guns to kill hyperspasticwackadoodleuberliberal c*nts like this one.
No, I take it back. This one I want with my bare hands.
Two words, former madam speaker: You first.
No "conversation" is possible without a common language, or at least a common definition of terms. So far, the core "issue" is being discussed in their abstract private language, alone.
They are merely provocative, playing a game of distractions, which is a part of a larger strategy of incessant hustling designed to stun political will and keep the population on edge.
Should they continue to provoke those without confidence into rash action prematurely, (allowing the mandarins to marginalize their opposition), all the better, they probably believe.
I don't think the community organizers have any real interest in "gun control" at all. Their every action exposing a visceral hatred of the nation and our people, inspiring and fostering endless unease, discontent and agitation.
Well said and recognized Mr. Prospero! Che cazzo per favore, are we to do in the meantime?
Every day I read something stupid that Pelosi has to say. How come we never hear anything from the Speaker?
I’ve a modest proposal. Nobody can carry any firearm on the Capitol or White House grounds, nor in any federal facility open to the public (such as a park), unless he or she isn’t an employee of any government.
Make the haunts of gun-control advocates mandatory ‘gun-free zones’ for their special guards first. And then see how that works out.
