IRS Scandal, Why Isn't it a Diversion?
Self | 5-18-2013 | Sequoyah101

My Dad often said: "Intrigue only begat intrigue". He was usually right. One conspiracy leads to another like a room full of mirrors reflecting themselves.

Still, here goes.

I have been watching Youtube collections of stuff from the talking heads and interviews today. I am cementing my earlier view... this IRS abuse is a massive smoke screen to hide something even bigger from attention. A lose the battle win the war tactic. Sure, this IRS scandal is a big deal and it is just the kind of attack on liberty all the right can get behind. Just the kind of terrible problem Obama needs to ride to the rescue to solve so that he can appear presidential. As bumbling as the effort appears he could still pull it off.

The performance by Miller today was just too bizarre. Nobody that gets that far is that stupid or obtuse unless it is on purpose. Are they?

1. This is an emotive issue sure to capture the public attention 2. Congress must act with outrage 3. The media is being far too cooperative 4. Miller is way too smug. He is either unbelievably arrogant or intentionally acting bizarre. Just plain bizarre. He makes outrageous statements and contradictions of the IG report and even himself. Classic diversion? The guy going out anyway who was not even the director when all this happened but awfully close to the action. 5. Why the big orchestration of the “leak” on Friday at the Bar Association meeting by Lois Lerner? To what purpose? 6. IRS says we gave poor customer service, we made mistakes, we acted inappropriately, we apologise? Strange. And then ostoner says the acts are alleged and if they are true we are will take “appropriate” action? Then he comes out and is outraged? Come on. I've seen crocodile tears before and can recognize them. 7. An opportunity to change the tax code? It makes no difference to ostoner how taxes are collected just as long as there are lots of them to redistribute. If he can give the sheeple what they want and still get what he wants... what does it matter how he gets it? Besides, it gives the stupid congressionals something to work on and not bother or watch him and his gang of criminals.

The timing of the release and manner of release of the IG report has me scratching my head. The thing is it’s not just the rats that despise the Tea Party patriots and other conservative groups. There are many rinos and GOPe that were sweating the primaries and were (are) less than enthused with working with true conservatives.

IMO Benghazi is the most serious issue, never did I ever think the US would turn its back on an embassy under attack. Really does anyone trust the IRS or DOJ?

While what you say about the immediate impact of the IRS scandal is true, you missed the following more significant questions:

1) Which scandal does the regime know Obama’s fingerprints are on and do they feel less able to defend him on?

They planned the IRS targeting in advance and would have been better about to construct firewalls to protect Obama.

The Benghazi travesty was not planned in advance. Even the Benghazi cover-up was ad libbed. If Benghazi is pursued to the end Obama falls on malfeasance or dereliction.

2) Which scandal is a greater threat to Democrat presidential chances in 2016?

Obama can't run in 2016 while Hillary is by far their top contender. She can't be touched on the IRS, but her (and Obama’s) fingerprints are undeniably all over Benghazi.

The IRS scandal can be blamed on someone else, Benghazi can’t

But the IRS crimes can cause the removal of the President, and Benghazi can't.

Unless Obama is also exposed as a lying untrustworthy weasel on Benghazi (and I believe he can be) too many people will be able to concede IRS guilt and even possibly Obama-campaign IRS guilt - while still maintaining that the Obama they were brainwashed into trusting was not involved.

Obama was reelected while being a known lying untrustworthy weasel, as was Clinton.

That only matters to people of honor, who make up abut 15% of the electorate.

This is about as basic as it gets:

IRS Mission Statement
Provide America's taxpayers top quality service by helping them understand and meet their tax responsibilities and enforce the law with integrity and fairness to all.

That really is it in a nutshell.

It was my impression that the Administration gave the IRS scandal to the press and to Congress. That would tend to support the idea that there is something far more potentially damaging to the administration there, perhaps in the Benghazi affair. Was Stevens given to the AQs as compensation for "getting" OBL?

The Left has control of all the touch screen voting machines and maybe some of the other electronic voting machines. They have concentrated on the presidency so far and maybe the Senate. That forbearance will not last.

IRS wins in a landslide and is the scandal GIVEN to the Press and to Congress by the administration, What are the probable ramifications of that.

Pelosi Blames Bush For IRS Scandal

Bingo.

That is the issue, all the rest is a huge distraction.

We need to advance, and support, real candidates.

Now.

Agreed—Much like Nixon, Obama needed little “help” to beat Romney.

ravenwolf ~:” this IRS abuse is a massive smoke screen to hide something even bigger from attention. “

“I think you are right, just like the birth certificate issue, to keep peoples mind off of something much worse.”

The IRS issue fulfills several libturd tactics:
#1) it was promulgated by a “planted Question” which the administration had a prepared answer , and Zero is not directly involved.
#2) the IRS issue is a feint tactic to distract from Banghazi which has both Obama’s and Hillary’s fingerprints on it.
#3) the outcome of Benghazi could impact on the next Presidential election since the two top contenders are directly involved.
#4) Dereliction of Duty allegations resulting in murder of four Americans would certainly impact on the next general elections.
#5) Obama needs another term to complete the Stateism and Socialist ideology takeover of America.
If Obama can’t do it himself , he will try to do it through a surrogate.
#6) This is Political CLOWARD-PIVEN (overwhelm the system-> creating chaos) and desensitizing the electorate to illegalities.
