Sergio Focardi Dies June 22, 2013
The following was posted on Andrea Rossi’s blog today. Please respect the memory and feelings of his family and friends. From all I have seen, he was a thoughtful, intelligent man who worked hard in the hope of bettering us all.

SERGIO FOCARDI, PROF. EMERITUS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLOGNA, IS DEAD . I RECEIVED THE NEW FROM ITALY TODAY AT 3 A.M., USA EASTERN TIME, FEW MINUTES AGO. We all have lost one of the greatest scientists in the field of the LENR. For me he has been a tremendous ally, he helped our work enormously and the safety certifications that we are obtaining are the fruit of his consulting during the last 7 years. For me he has been also a teacher for Physics and Mathematics, anytime I needed his help in these matters to better understand the theory behind the effect of the E-Cat. He has always worked with us with total, absolute and disinterested attitude, thinking only the the interest of the Science behind the LENR. All the newspapers of the scientific world will say what he has been in the Scientific and University world and his enormous legacy: he has been Professor of Physics, Mathematic, he has been the Dean of the Scientific Faculties of the Alma Mater University of Bologna and the founder of the Cesena branch of the University of Bologna. His pubilcations in the fields of Mathematics and Physics are monumental. Now, after a long period of illness, that obviously all his friends have taken secret to respect his privacy, he ceased to suffer and starts a new duty for God under anothe form of life. I am sure he will continue to look after my work from where he is now. See you soon, my great Friend and Master Sergio! Mr. Focardi, Rest in Peace.
Rossi is getting up there in age too, it would be a tragedy if his E-cat was real (I still doubt it) and he died without telling anyone his process.
Just as if Edison had died we’d still have lightbulbs, the same goes for Rossi if he’s legit, it’ll take more time.
This lines up with Rossi’s narrative. Rossi never wanted to do demos, but Focardi was in ill health and sought the recognition that he never would have gotten. So Rossi relented and gave demos. He sucks at doing demos. Imagine having to give a power point presentation to your clients, but you’re sick and the only guy who knows the material is P.T. Barnum.
RIP.
Pretty much it ~ Focardi was dragging Italian science kicking and screaming where they’d given up 450 years ago ~ no small task. He will be remembered.

My opinions don’t matter here, but I’m not a $2 a day donor to this site to watch this guy post what MIGHT make a significant difference in the future, only so see him kicked to the gutter, no matter what he posts. What unfettered bullshit.

I have intentionally been posting to the smoky backroom for the last few threads. But the smoky backroom aint what it used to be.
This has already happened once with Dr. James Patterson (see Patterson power cell..search terms 'Patterson cold fusion').
His LENR cell worked, outputting large amounts of excess energy, and had been independently tested by several outside labs, including SRI. But, like Rossi, he kept many of what he considered proprietary knowledge "in his head" but, unlike Rossi, he didn't provide for transmission of the information upon his death. All lost when he died.
