Nixon’s downfall was created by reasons I never fully understood. Watergate; Spying on political opposition, when at the time Nixon was leading in the polls. So what he was really looking for? Wasn’t necessary to reveal and to this day baffles me. Because the left and the ministry of onformation is in full control of the media we will never find out what it was.
Since the take over of the Democrat party into a hypehated political party, Demo-Coms, by the very socialist/communist academics protesting during that time has led to massive corruption; Corporate cronyism,constitutional disbowlment,intrusions and the destructionn of a culture of individualism to conform to a state concept of collectivism through the use of lies and deception because their end justifies their means hardly was happening during Nixon’s reign .
It is not difficult to understand. President Nixon had been a friend of Senator McCarthy due to both being staunch anti-communists. Mr. Nixon clearly wanted to find proof of the link between the Democrat Party and the Global Communist Movement. Unfortunately the Democrats used that wish to orchestrate his downfall. Nixon was right but he could never find the smoking gun.
The “Plumbers” were an intelligence group. Embassies used to be routinely raided, and code books copied.
Germany had raided the US embassy to Egypt. Germany had US egyptian embassy codes, and based on their intercepts, advanced knowledge of british troop movements in north africa, until the US military attache which provided the source for the intercepts was recalled.
John Dean, Nixon’s lawyer, ordered the burglary of the Democrat office in the Watergate. In the pocket of one of the plumbers was a book that had his wife’s number. She had been an escort for the Democrat party, to entertain people from out of town. Dean had apparently coopted the plumbers to secure that book. The Democrats turned him, and he blamed it all on Nixon. Nixon took it to protect the intelligence effort.
The president has vast authority in the field of intelligence. “When the president does it, it is legal.”
