U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran came out against the latest version of the GOP’s healthcare plan late Monday, effectively killing its chances of passing the Senate.
Moran, who years ago was the first member of Congress to formally seek repeal of Obamacare, announced his opposition along with Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah. The two defections are enough to prevent supporters from mustering the 50 votes needed.
"We should not put our stamp of approval on bad policy," Moran said in a statement. "… We must now start fresh with an open legislative process to develop innovative solutions that provide greater personal choice, protections for pre-existing conditions, increased access and lower overall costs for Kansans."

The voluntary cooperation directly between patients and doctors in the marketplace free from government interference is the best healthcare system in the world which America had until the feds started unconstitutionally screwing it up in the 60’s.
KICK THE POLITICIANS OUT OF HEALTHCARE. They don’t care about your health, only their political careers.
Remove barriers to selling insurance across State lines, take steps to break the link between employment and insurance as a benefit, remove efforts to socialize insurance pools by mandating coverage that people wouldn’t buy if they really had a choice, and in general do what you can to reduce the abuse of insurance.

Can't say I disagree with him. Then he should be FOR a straight repeal and then a period of time to start over and develop a new plan.
You had eight years to work this through, and numerous bills submitted to Obozo—over forty times by Bonehead Boehners’ accounting—and you still cannot get this right. The stupid party still has no backbone. The commie Rats have one—are you not ashamed?
What they really mean is August is coming and time to skedaddle. They figure they can hem and haw through the fall, get through the holidays and whaddayaknow, it’s election season again. Guess it’ll have to wait!

I just saw a headline where Mitch is just going to do a full repeal. Let’s see who bails out on that.
Is the legislators’ insurance tied to 0care or is it granted by a separate bill? I sure would like to see the monarchs’ insurance the same as for the rest of us.

I have heard explanation of the DISASTER that would happen if this was law.
1. Repeal
2. Allow insurance to be offered across state lines.
3. Encourage HSAs.
4. Let insurance companies offer any plan consumers want.
5. Move on to tax reform.

You are completely missing the point. It’s not about the price of health insurance. It’s about the price of health care.
Let’s enforce anti-trust laws on the hospitals and pharma companies. Once that happens the cost of getting treatment will drop to the point you can pay out of pocket, without the need for “insurance”.
McConnell is just pizzed that his little bill didn’t make it and now is gonna show us....with a repeal bill that he knows won’t pass now. Oh they could pass it when they knew Obama would veto it but not now.
That’ll show us.
Mike Lee killed it before Moran did.
Democrats let the last repeal bill go to the floor because Obama had his veto pen ready. Think they’ll let it get to President Trump’s desk? Not on your life.
