A body piercer who sliced off her own finger because it ‘looks cute’ has turned the severed limb into a pendent.
Torz Reynolds decided to cut off her little finger with bolt cutters on Valentine’s Day last year after wanting to do it for a decade.
After keeping the stump in the freezer next to a bag of peas for 365 days, Torz decided to mark the occasion by immortalising the frozen finger as a pendant necklace.
The 30-year-old body modifier bought a glass vial, filled it with alcohol solution and dunked the detached digit inside attached to a chain so it wouldn’t waste away in the freezer.
Boyfriend Xav also presented Torz with a collection of tiny hats to dress her stump, which she has affectionately named Wiggles.
Torz, from Colchester, Essex, said: ‘I forgot it [the finger] was there. It was in the freezer next to my frozen peas.
‘You don’t want to waste it so why not turn it into a necklace?
‘I made the necklace on Wiggles’ birthday (February 14). I’ll pick and choose where I wear it – I wouldn’t wear it at work – but it will definitely be a new favourite in my free time.
‘I thought a necklace would be the easiest thing to make and I wanted to do something to mark Wiggles’ first birthday.’
Torz now plays dress-up with Wiggles, decorating the stump with one of 15 kids’ toy hats including a stetson, a viking helmet, a hard hat and a red baseball cap.
She said: ‘The hats were a present from my boyfriend for Wiggles’ birthday. I thought it was brilliant, they look like they’re the Village People.
‘A lot of people have said they’re awesome – everyone knows I don’t take anything seriously.’
Torz was inspired to chop her pinky finger off after one of her friends took the plunge. She added that she would often practise bending her finger back to see if she could live without it.
She said: ‘I thought it was really cute. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and decided to do it. ‘Xav and I had a nice dinner and then I chopped it off, I numbed it first so it wasn’t too bad. I wasn’t sure if I could live without it but I can.
‘It hasn’t changed anything – I love it, it’s so cute.

How does one “slice” off their finger with a bolt cutter?
Is that like “snipping” off something with a knife?
I guess no one had the wherewith all to put some ice in a Cracker Jack box, insert the finger and take off to the hospital.
She doesn’t even register on the hot/crazy matrix!
There really isn’t much difference between this and slicing off your penis and calling yourself a woman.
Yeah, she was pretty good looking until she turned herself into an East LA graffiti mess.
Maybe for her next act she can pierce her brain with some long, sharp object.
I’m not sure it would make any difference on her mental capabilities, but don’t tell her that - it might dissuade her.
I have a niece who looks cute despite her ear gauges. She’s not this radical on her “body modifications.”
It's funny how many people I see here spend their first paycheck on tattoos.
I know that has nothing to do with turning ones finger into a pendant, just an observation.
PS - I somehow got through my time in the Marine Corps with no tattoos.
The pinky finger alone is responsible for about 40% of one’s grip strength. I guess she will find this out if she ever has to hang on to something.
Nah, for her next act, she will be 35 and whining that nobody will marry her.
It will be how she was in a toxic relationship, had to find herself, now understands what's really important, it's unfair that men are judging her, men are scared of a real woman who has lived a full life, wants to start a family, etc, etc...

Oh, dear God. Please, please, PLEASE, lady, if you’re into body modification, please have your ovaries and uterus removed ASAFP. Those genes need to be scrubbed from the pool with Clorox.
