See, here’s the difference.

And then just go to confession and viola, sins forgiven. No restitution required, they can keep it a secret and nobody has to know. They can do their confession and *penance* in secret and there’s no public confession, no jail time, no consequences of any kind.

I agree that pedo priests need to be thrown out and this was badly avoided earlier, but that has changed.

But don't mudsling as, seriously, no one ends up looking good.
