U.S. Capitol Police Arrest 300 Democracy Spring Demonstrators (2016)
According to a statement by the police, the demonstrators were charged under D.C. Code prohibiting “crowding, obstructing, or incommoding.”
They were processed on the scene and then released, police said.
Protesters pound the doors of the Supreme Court following Kavanaugh confirmation
A throng of protesters pushed past a police line, storming up steps to pound on the doors of the U.S. Supreme Court on Saturday after the Senate confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh.
U.S. Capitol Police said a total of 164 people were arrested during the protests for "crowding, obstructing, or incommoding."
Same statement as for the 2016 protests: Police said the people who were arrested were being processed offsite and would then be released.
