Perhaps one reason I cling to the hope of a refrigerated body is that I can scarcely bear to think of the child being alive during all that time. And, like I say, I'm not at all expert on how corpses will react to different conditions--I hope someone who is will weigh in on this.

In February, I wouldn't have believed something like that was possible. In July, I would have resisted thinking VDs would let something so awful happen to their daughter.

Now, I just hope I miss it when the news comes out with what really happened to that poor little girl and what part her parents played in it.
