..but ANYTIME someone mentions that they can't vote for a Republican Candidate (for whatever office) due to their beliefs...they keep getting told that they need to vote Republican...in order for the 'other guy' not to win.

"Principles" aren't all created equal.
For example, your fight for the "principle" of free drugs is not one that I share, nor can I imagine it being something for which the heroes of the American Revolution would have fought.
Now, if you want to talk about REAL principles, like those embodied in the Holy Bible--for which the heroes of the American Revolution DID fight--we might have a positive conversation.
Again, it doesn't mean "Choose whatever feels groovy to you, man." It stands for absolute values, not "to each his own."
