Does anyone bother to read LP? I tried to check it last year just to see what might be posted there, that wasn't posted to FR. What I found was fowl mouthed screeds not very different from what I found on DU and other liberal forums in the rare times that I have exposed my sanity to their insanity.

That said I thought that BadJoe had some valid points last year when he was on a rant. Specifically the inconsistancy and hair-trigger/trigger happiness of some moderators. I do recognize that it is a thankless job that keeps FR readable, but it also requires a maturity that not everyone is blessed with. We can only hope that you, JimRob has chosen wisely when deligating FR authority. Time will tell.

I've got to thank you for posting that link to Libertypost. I saw a few old Freeper names there. I've wondered where they went. Now I know. Funny thing is, I really don't miss most of them. In fact, now I know why I've been enjoying Free Republic even more lately. It made me so happy I had to rush back here and make my donation.

You are doing a great job here Jim. I've been an avid reader/poster/contributer since 1998 (my original freep name is Rock, but I forgot my password and had to change to Rokke). Nothing compares to Free Republic. Nothing.

Jim - I want to be the first to congratulate you on this overwhelming creation you invented of about 1500 posts, thus far. Why you chose to perform this madness is not only disrespectful to one of the finest posters upon this board (or anywhere) but also signifies a milestone about the presence of FreeRepublic.com. I am ashamed of you. Permitting the bashing of BADJOE is an obvious abandonment of FR policy for objectivity and reflects a new admission towards the degradation about the web site.
