Augusta is now the second largest city in GA. Downtown went the way of most inner cities for a while. But it has made a huge recovery. There are many new businesses downtown.

I think it will recover very nicely. There are big changes in the works for entertainment and sports.

The CSRA has done well during the recession. And beside the inner city dims, this area is very Republican. Our county center is on Ronald Regan Way. It does give great messages for the few dims in our county.

Well, I avoided the downtown area even when I lived there. I'm just not that much of a people person....at least not people concentrated in one place. I'm not into cities. Whem I lived in Augusta, it was out (is it highway 50?) south, out in the country...past Tobacco Rd. and the paper mill.
