The Washington ComPost is soiling their panties in excitement over a speech Kerry gave at New York University.
The speech was received here as the beginning of Kerry's Incredible Hulk moment, when, angry and provoked, he finally unleashes his inner demon.Close, Unwashed Composties.. Right idea, wrong inhuman monster....
Still, "for the first time, I'm thinking about it," says Ellen Jacob, a Democratic activist who works in publishing, meaning thinking he might lose. "He had all this momentum in August and now it seems to be gone. Maybe if he could just speak more in sound bites, you know, quick catchy phrases."Meanwhile, Deaniacs are taking a liking to Kerry because he is pretending to be Howard Dean..
Like many of the activists who stocked Kerry's events Monday, Paulson originally hails from the Howard Dean campaign. They liked Kerry because he sounded less like himself and more like Dean.
Paradoxically, to Dean supporter and political director of the "New Democratic Majority" Timothy Paulson, Kerry pretending to Dean means "He finally spoke from the heart."
Perhaps Frankenstein's Monster is the right metaphor for the Kerry campaign, rather than the Hulk?
Frankenstein's monster was created from fragments of corpses. If Kerry spoke from the heart - it was Dean's political grave-robbed , transplanted heart!
Kerry is a creature created from fragments of the political corpses of his Democrat primary opponents. Kerry is cobbled together from bits of political General Clark, War hero. Howard Dean, anti-war zealot. Al Sharpton, race baiter. Dennis Kucinich, kooky looking. Lieberman, northeastern liberal. And part Bob Graham, nuttier than a fruitcake.
Frankenstein's monster longed for sympathy but was shunned by everyone. Kerry, a parody of those whose grave-robbed parts he is made from, is tanking in the polls... especially among women.
