How come there is no federal criminal investigation into the CBS memos?

But I have zero confidence in GOP having guts enough to pursue any of this. After election or any other time.

Rush was asked about Sandy Berger today. Notice how quiet the media has gotten over that investigation?

His guess is that because it's an election year.....and would be too much of a distraction....everybody is laying low for now.

Maybe this is why we're not hearing much about the Feds looking into Memogate?

An investigation could possibly backfire on Bush if people perceive he's "sic" ing the Feds on Kerry. But, I do think after the Election the Feds will launch an investigation. Who knows? Maybe they already are and we're just not hearing about it.
