Democrats Behaving Badly

I will continue to document Democrat violence as it makes the news, even after election day (indeed, if you read my piece from yesterday, I worried about the very serious concern that the violence may grow worse after the election, if Bush wins, and explored which would foment the most violence, a close Bush victory or a blowout). People need to be informed, and what's more, Republicans and conservatives need to make SERIOUS efforts at informing all our fence-sitting or politically apathetic family members, friends, and co-workers about this behaviour. This will be a major turnoff to reasonable people, so let's present them with what the Dems are doing, and let natural indignancy do the rest.

We The People of the United States of America call
upon the Governors of all 50 states to station
National Guard troops to protect all political party
headquarters in each state's major metropolitan areas.
For headquarters in smaller areas, and headquarters
which are more limited facilities, we call upon the
governors to station highway patrol, state police, or
state troopers. We call upon the Mayor of the District
of Columbia to coordinate with the applicable
protective agencies as well. All parties on the
ballot should receive the appropriate protection based
on the size of the metro area they are in and the size
of the facility. If warranted, similar measures should
be put in place to protect the polling places on
Election Day.

Orders to guardsmen and law enforcement officers to
shoot-to-kill upon any mob attack should be issued.

Failure to take such actions should be considered
gross incompetence.

In order to address the possibility that the recent
attacks on headquarters of political parties are a
diversion in advance of acts of terrorism or war, we
also call upon the governors to activate their state
militias and if need be to deputize selected citizens
as special reserve state law enforcement officers.
Where state militias and deputation statutes do not
yet exist, we call upon the affected governors to
sponsor such legislation as is needed in order to
instate the applicable mechanisms.

This is a little over the top. I would hate to see such language used for say--abortion clinic opponents. If these folks are breaking the law, they should go to jail, have their pictures in the papers, wear ankle bracelets, pay fines and generally be looked upon a society's lepers...I noticed in the one picture from Drudge, that the AFL-CIO is sending out their women...big, ugly, misguided women...we don't want to shoot them--just put them in a cage and rattle their bars. (It's that whole, "rule of law" thing, that separates us from them.)

If an unruly mob had tried to do this 100 years ago, they would have been shot either by the police or by the national guard. Reread it carefully, what it calls out is all within existing laws and within the existing constitutions of the states and the USA. It is not a matter of law, it is a matter of will.

100 years ago, as a woman, I wouldn't have the right to vote, and misguided sufferagettes were throwing themselves in front of horse races trying to draw attention to the plight of women being treated like chattel.

I have no love for union thugs, but there are modes of response between a slap on the wrist and shoot to kill. I have no "will" to kill my political opponents, but to educate, expose and restrain them--in that order.

I have been seeing posts all day from people bent out of shape over their yard signs...I would never draw a weapon to protect a thing- a life? yes, an ideal? possibly. I think the democrat position is wrong and weakens us as a nation, along with violent divisive cr@p like these rent-a-mobs...but when we kill them we give them moral authority. They become "our" victims, not victims of their own stupidity.

A real danger is that either these attacks are precursors to some sort of general putcsh attempt, or, diversions against a terrorist strike. The big mistake the pre Nazi Germans made was letting the Brownshirts get away without a harsh response. Arguments similar to the ones you are making were made by liberal, "progressive" Germans of their day. They kept telling themselves "it can't happen here, we are too civilized." Well guess what .... it happened. If we do not crack down with extreme prejudice against the precursors of bloody revolution and Jacobinism, we may never get another chance later. So, we agree to disagree apparently.
