Kerry: an empty suit
Dave Hamilton

Posted on 10/08/2004 3:39:51 AM PDT by Dave Hamilton

How many times have we heard well-intentioned Americans, with much justification, saying they didn't want a Washington "insider" running things during presidential campaigns? Carter, Reagan, Clinton (barf!), and Dubya were all elected in part because of that sentiment alone.

Now comes John Kerry, an ultimate Washington insider who has done NOTHING in two decades as a United Sates senator to make any significant headway or noticeably improve anyone's life.

How many significant bills bear his name or influence? Yep, that's what I thought.

So he's been a real "leader" in Washington...right, and Michael Moore should be president in 2008!

This referendum, decided by the Electoral College (don't forget that, whiny Democrats), should be, first and foremost, about leadership. Mr. Bush needs to ask John Kerry what exactly he has done to lead, or merit the presidency.

And someone in that audience tonight..anyone..needs to have the courage to ask Kerry most forcefully exactly what that weasel means when he says to vote for him "in order to make America proud again." The Democrat advertising machine here in Europe is using that same tired ad, and it just makes me want to barf.

Further, someone mailed me just today to say he had heard Americans abroad were wearing maple leaves as symbols of their nationality in order to avoid being mistaken as Americans. What a crock!

Maybe liberal appeasing whiners who are afraid to be associated with anything which resembles moral courage are not proud to be American (and shouldn't be Americans IMO) or ashamed, but I very much doubt that applies to the large majority of Americans, and if there is one thing I personally would like to call that cheese-eating flip-flopper on, it is that statement he made in their first debate.

Someone -- student, man/woman in the street, moderator, Mr. Bush..anyone -- please call this slimeball on that comment.

The likes of Kerry and Gore would have us all suck up to the UN, subordinate every one of our national interests, give handouts to terrorists, and invite bin Laden and his thugs over for wine and cheese for negoatiations a la with Arafat the Terrorist.

Someone tell Kerry who a real American is, and that we are ashamed only of people like him.

Was I wrong to add keywords? I just like the maximum audience, cyber-wide, when I decide to say anything because if I say it, be assured it obviously needs to be said. I am hoping Free Republic is relatively uncomplicated and user-friendly, open to free speech which advocates the truth (trolls excepted), and with members who indeed monitor content for useful ammunition against trolls and liberals alike.

My liberal daughter told me that she did exactly that when studying in the Balkans. Well, considering what the Clinton Administration had done in the Balkans, I could understand that there could be some hate and discontent there!

My condolences that you have a liberal daughter. Sometimes parents do their best, but after the media, Hollywood, liberal kids, liberal teachers, and liberal partners get done with them, they are sometimes unrecognizable!:(

In many places in the world, one does indeed have to use some common sense about what one wear where. Germany and France, however, should NEVER be such places.

Have you heard the latest KERRYEXCUSE? 10/07/04 Kerry stated (whined) that with the rate things have been going under the Bush Admin., by the time he gets into the White House the Iraq situation that will be "handed" to him will be like LEBANON. Kerry is already setting up his excuses as to why he is incapable of handling the Iraq situation! Can you imagine if Kerry is actually elected - every little thing that goes wrong in Iraq UNDER KERRY'S WATCH will be blamed on Bush - it's already being set up!
