What a wonderful night, last night (10/8), at the debate.
Round 2, and GW came out swinging. He was articulate without being a stuffed shirt, he was also warm and down to earth, while being passionate about what he believed in.
I enjoyed it all, just watching him enjoy it all.
And what about the "Great Pretender"? If you've seen him twice you've seen him all. I say twice so you can get both sides, like him.
Last night he was against abortion, but for it, especially partial-birth abortion, while he was for the ban, he voted against the ban.
Honest, folks, these are the facts, I couldn't make this up!
Also, when faced with a question about choosing Supreme Court judges, he stated :
"And I want to make sure we have judges who interpret the Constitution of the United States according to the law."
Honest. He said that and you can see it on the transcript: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/08/politics/campaign/09dtext-full.html?oref=login&pagewanted=18
Remember Government/Civics classes in High School?
The Legislative Branch (Congress) makes the Laws, The Judicial Branch (Supreme Court, etc.) interprets the Laws, and The Executive Branch (President, etc.) enforces the Laws... And this man who would be president is a senator and a lawyer?
By the way, did anyone see anything in the press today (10/09) calling him to task for this gaffe? Where are the outraged commentators now?
Silence, relatively complete. There is nothing like an unbiased media.
Go get him, George (if I may be so familiar)!
You done REAL good last night!
Welcome back.
Great post! I never caught it myself! I'm sending this to all my friends!! I hope Rush or Neil Bortz latch on to this Monday!
