The Fat Man Sings [Michael Moore Does Leno]
Hundredpercenter News ^ | Nov. 30, 2004 | Malachy Joyce

Posted on 11/30/2004 6:38:20 AM PST by conservativecorner

Michael Moore appeared on the Jay Leno show Monday night, dressed like the capitalist pig he truly is. Aside from the fact that, naturally, he is an unattractive middle aged man, Moore looked sharp in a suit and clean shaved face. Oh, he also threw a wet towel on the looney lefts attempts for an Ohio vote recall, conceding defeat to George W. Bush.

Moore admitted, "Bush won-because he got more votes."

No kidding.

Now for the wet towel: Moore said, "There's another game in four years."

Ahh- I feel sorry for you liberals. Your knight in rolling blubber has given up hope. Therefore, now, you must stop your shenanigans at once, right?

Well, let's see what the bright minds over at DUmmcraticUnderground have to say.

Placebo (1000+ posts) Tue Nov-30-04 12:15 AMOriginal message "Anyone else disappointed by Michael Moore on Leno tonight?"

"He seems really 'off.'So far it looks like he's missed a real opportunity to throw some good hits at bush and it feels really awkward."

"Really disappointing."

So far- it does not look promising.

mere (1000+ posts) Tue Nov-30-04 12:17 AMResponse 5. "He dressed like a converted repug

"and he spit out garbage. Death threats or threats of imprisonment!"

Okay- let me get this straight. Moore is conceding defeat because of death threats against him or threat of imprisonment?

Great liberal minds at work.

Let's find more..

This is a good one:

Placebo (1000+ posts) Tue Nov-30-04 12:22 AMResponse 11. "My thoughts exactly."

"He looks and sounds sedated or deathly afraid."

Perhaps he was sedated when he made Fahrenheit 9/11.

DemonFighterLives (665 posts) Tue Nov-30-04 12:23 AMResponse 12. "He was very different"

"I kept waiting for him to unload on dubby, but he never did.It really look like someone got to him. Slight possibility of depression and giving up the ghost.Shaven and dressed in a suit. That would be fine, but he really seemed subdued."

How dare Moore dress like a human being!

Swamp Rat (1000+ posts) Tue Nov-30-04 12:27 AMResponse 17. ... or, he is playing "the game."

"Didn't he get teams of videographers to document the stealing of the 2004 election? We haven't seen ANYTHING yet."

"Before we jump to conclusions, though it all seems weird, I think he's up to something. Y'all can tell me how wrong I am, but Moore is a fighter - not a sellout. Something is brewing while GOP basks in their hollow victory."

Now we are getting somewhere. Conspiracy theories at DU, their specialty.

OldLeftieLawyer (787 posts) Tue Nov-30-04 12:35 AMResponse 25. He's trolling for Repukes

He's gone into hiding, so to speak. That was the biggest goof I've ever seen. I think he's just goofing on everyone, playing it close to the vest.

That haircut's a riot. That suit's even funnier.

I think he's just lulling the Repukes into complacency and not making waves. Like how Kerry's been quiet, and how things in Ohio and Florida and who knows where else are going forward.

There's still a whole lot of time before this election is over, don't forget.

I think it's brilliant.

BREAKING NEWS! The election is not over. Kerry might have won and Moore is just lulling you "Repugs" into complacency.

Swamp Rat (1000+ posts) Tue Nov-30-04 12:30 AMResponse 21. "I think he's up to something."

Indeed he is "Swamp Rat". He is busy counting the 100 million he made off of you lemmings, while you continuously bang your head against the brick wall called liberalism.

Slacker Nation stayed in their basements for the election which is, of course, where they belong. Moore didn't deliver. In Democrat pols' books, the "useful" has been dropped from the "idiot." He's cashing in on a few shreds of fame before dropping into a well deserved obscurity. Good riddance.

Democrat really does stand for "dim-wit". These people are so clueless, it's pathetic. Yes...while you're throwing out your Moore conspiracy theories and grasping, flailing over nothing— Mr. Michael is driven home in a limo, and comfortably escorted to his million dollar abode.

A Bush victory only elongates his shady career.

I checked out DU's reaction too. After the initial reaction of anger and speculations of death threats, most seem to have settled on denial, "He's just playing a clever game." Forget it DUmmies, he's distancing himself from you losers... Sad thing is, a lot of them still hope he's going to pull a bunch of evidence of a stolen election out of his a$$ sometime before the Inauguration.

I watched a good part of Moore interview and was astounding. In a couple of places, he was almost atatesman like and throughout, avoided hundreds of opportunities at those cheap sewer shots that the scumbags like so well (see: Begala, any day - if you can stomach it).

In fact, Moore's contrast of the dem and Republican messages was almost poetic. His characterization of Bush standing on a pile of rubble on 9/12 saying, "I will protect you," and doing so, Moore said, was a hard message to overcome.

There has to be some life change at risk here for such a vile person to try to fool so many people. There is always "diveresion." What s Moore trying to divert our attention from by shaving, losing his ball cap, putting on a suit and tie and speaking in a conciliatory fashion? Remember the old saying, "A scumbag changeth not his spots, nor a crapweasel dem his stink!"

I go check out DU every so often myself. They were waiting for Moore to say that Dubbya had 'stole' the votes. Since he didn't the'll hate him. They are thinking Kerry is just waiting for the right moment to un-concede.

BWAHAAAAAAAAA!!!
Ordinarily I'd have said, "The Shadow knows" but that's not what he asked.
Is it? :o)

Truly dyslexic.

He's just trying to be like Madonna and change his image for attention and marketing.

And like Madonna, he's still the same old sleazy person no matter what costume he wears.

I really didn't notice much of a change in his rhetoric except that he's more subdued.

I seriously think he has received so many death threats and that he knows he's so well-hated, that he is trying to present a less radical image.

Yep.
While at the airport, waiting for my flight; two of my fellow travelors were discussing the election.
"The election was rigged", said the lady. Than the man agreed, and they discussed various conspiracy theories, how Bush was wearing a wire during the debate, etc.

I didn't say anything, just listened.
These folks have got some *series* mental issues...

Indeed they do, my friend.
I've had several similar experiences myself, one of which occurred right in my own front room.
Landru was *appalled* but he too kept his mouth shut out of deference to their *guest* status *&* my bride's foot on top of mine crushing downward. :o)

They're *out* there, alright. ;^)

In any event, just wanted to ping ya over here to say something to you.

BEHOLD The Morph!!

...continues. {g}

"Is two for a buck the 'festival' pricing or the regular rate?"

For you L,TOWM, I'll throw in *3* for the price of 1!!
It's Christmas, y'know? {g}

"Good to see you again, FRiend..."

[Really] good to see you're still knocking around, also.
Lots & lots of "new" people flooding this place.
Some old-new, some new-old but few what & *who* they say they are, for sure. ;^)

Then there's the old timers like you & I, who've never either been or felt forced to change our handles out of something shameful said to one of the resident nutballs for telling it the way we saw it.
Truly anachronisms & a dying breed, ol' buddy.

Of course we have really neat screen names, so maybe that's why we're reachieved somewhat cooly by the new breed of himbos & bimbos abounding in these contemptuous days we live? {g}

I mean what's not to like about a goofy Star Trek character, huh.

Or?

..."Liberals. The Other White Meat"? ;^)
