The United Nations thinks the United States is Stingy

I am not a writer just a ranter so be kind. I hope I post this correctly.

Stingy? This coming from an organization so greedy that it has the blood of millions of adults and children flowing freely from almost every hand in every corner of every office and down every hallway of every floor of the United Nations Building. With all of the blood that is on the organizations hands I am shocked that it isn’t seeping out of the front doors. Who can say “Iraq food for oil”?

Stingy? This coming from an organization that allowed genocide in Rwanda, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq now the Sudan and the Iraq food for oil. (I know there are more that I am missing.) When the streets start running red in Manhattan just look toward the U.N.

Jan Egeland of the United Nations suggested that the citizens of the United States want to be taxed more so that we can give more taxpayer money to the United Nations. Then out of the other side of his mouth says that we are stingy. Which is it sir? Are we stingy or not? You did back track rather quickly. To which I say “NO” to both. Mr. Egeland, first I pay way too much in taxes and second I want not one more dime to go to the United Nations you had the food for oil program. However, I do want the United Nations out of the United States.

Stingy? I suppose that we deserve to be called stingy not because we are greedy but because we are stupid and weak. We give away approximately 1% of our gross domestic product (GDP) in cash money. That is how the all knowing all feeling United Nations measure our charity in cash. They refuse to count all of the food aid that we give to the world or what our citizens give the world on their own, out of their private pockets. The United States need to start calculation the cost of all of the food that we send to the world. U.S. food aid brings us well above the 1% GDP. We also need congress to make a law that requires citizens to register their global charitable giving.

As for you Mr. Egeland, you can talk to me and my country about being stingy as soon as you and the United Nations can get the blood stains off your hands.

After what the United Nations did with the Iraq food for oil being called stingy seems to be bad.

What the UN did with the food for oil program would be called "greedy" at best and when the US cut the gravy train off by invading Iraq they sure were upset. When you listen to the men who served on the ground in Iraq they sure portray a different picture of what's going on when compared to the MSM will let the world see what we want them to see view of the events in Iraq. The US should boycott the UN and see how long it remains a viable world organization without our money. We could use that money far better here in our own country than pumping it into the UN. The UN is like a bad slot machine that keeps coming up with three lemons. They're not worth the time or money anymore.

The UN is going to make a bundle off of this. I wonder if they will impose fines on these countries hit for violating the Kyoto agreement...all that pollution.

i think the u s is getting to a point where they will start to lower funding for the un periodicly until its more see-through and less crime ridden. If improvements dont occur then something could be made to displace UN or absorb its function and good infrastructure but also have a clean beuracracy more or less.

Excellent points. We should take the annual money that we give the UN and send it to the tsunami disaster victims. We couldn't be considered "stingy" AND it would send a not-so-subtle message to "Club UN."
