WE HAVE SEEN THE ENEMY AND HE IS US: How many times it would it take a committed Christian family getting their throats sliced before Christians in a diverse middle eastern community in America would grow silent in sharing their faith with their Muslim brothers?
Charles Johnson at LittleGreenFootballs has the latest on the slain New Jersey family. And it appears that they had been influential in helping "convert Muslims to Christianity" as LGF put it.
It also needs to be noted that the neighborhood where these slayings took place happens also to be the center of the Islamic operations of Sheik Abdul Rahman - the perp in the first World Trade Center bombings.
My sources in the Jersey City neighborhood confirm the report identified on LGF. Rahman's followers who number in the thousands (not hundreds) in this area have grown increasingly aggressive in dealing with the Coptic community.
The warning that LGF cites is in effect and is being feared by many in the area.
The nature of the warning? The murders send a signal from the Muslims to the Copts: we are going to behave here the same way we behaved in Egypt, and the First Amendment and American law enforcement will not protect you. Don't expect America to keep you safe from us. The oppression and harassment you thought you had left behind in Egypt has now come to you.
So how many families would have to die in order for the terrorists to have a psychological hold on a city? I fear we may have already answered that question...

Before President Bush liberates the whole entire world, maybe he ought to focus a little more on keeping our own country from going completely under to the holy warriors.

The President's energies are now focused on establishing and stabilizing the new government in Iraq.
I would expect him to being diverting more of those energies in the very near future to the very rapidly rising tide of Islamic terror on our own terracotta.
