From dems.com link below:

You've probably all noted a recent surge of nodes started by independent thinkers trolls and I think we all agree it must stop. Posting anything off the national radar, that is, anything that hasn't already been done to death is forbidden. There's no room for new ideas on this forum! Our Emperor Necco explained yesterday that since we are all lemmings and can't think for ourselves, he can't allow us to decide on our own which nodes we do or don't want to participate in. It's way too disruptive.

To avoid future problems, the moderators are immediately implementing the following rules:

Only moderators can begin a node. This will guarantee that nothing truly progressive is ever posted here. If you wish to post a reply, please limit yourself to one of these responses:

"I can't agree with you more!"

"Yes!"

"We're on the same wavelength!"

"You took the words right out of my mouth!"

"Yuppers!"

"I wish I'd thought of that!"

"Yessiree!"

"Man, you are right on!"

The exclamation points are required. Posts that do not adhere to the rules will be deleted and you will be ridiculed for anti-democrat posting. We mean it!

Remember democrats.com is the forum for Imitation Progressives!

- The moderators

PS. No people of color are allowed to post, ever!

TOPICS: Politics

After the election this site added a moderator to kick off Republican views. The two groups not allowed are 'freepers' and 'trolls'. Recently they restricted the rules to handle those posting news items and ideas from the left side of the DNC: abortion, minority issues, Michael Moore are all sensitive topics(in fact, abortion is listed on their rules page as a forbidden topic. ) Check out the postings of a guy labelled qv who drives them nuts posting all types of left wing ideas that this site thinks will be unpopular.

Actually its great news. When you offer such narrow views you only get people that already agree with you. There's little chance that you'll have the opportunity to argue someone into re-examining their views and possibly pursuading them to your position.

Democrats.com was originally a pure propaganda website, written by the party to 1) motivate readers by attacks on republicans, 2) post information on boycotts, email campaigns, marches, etc. Then last year they went to this members post format like this website. Why? I can only guess 1) It would run itself, being cheaper, 2) members could get organizing information out faster. But it is still privately funded with the same goals above as members are reminded. Enter 'qv'. This guy posted such outrageous left wing stuff that they kicked him off in less than a week. I could not stop laughing every time he put up a post. And it would split the members, some for, and some against. The monitors tried arguing with him in the reply box, but that just kept his stuff at the top of the queue. What type of stuff is over the limit for these left wing nuts?

1) He called for articles of impeachment based on Bush invading Afghanistan for the oil pipeline(odd, since their hero Michael Moore put that in his movie, they are disowning his ideas after pushing them and him for a year.) His says Bush planned 9/11.

2) He called for Reparations for Slavery. They consider Conyers a hero for contesting the election, but won't return the favor by supporting his reparations bill.

3) He called for an halt to Iraq elections, said we should email Conyers and Boxer to take action. But they call for an immediate end to the occupation.

4) He called for no more white rich male dem candidates, says Barbara Boxer and Rev Al Sharpton should be next candidates. Earlier he wanted to run Michael Moore as president. Since white males run the party and this site, this one was bound to draw fire.

A member called ‘Big Blue Donkey’ runs around the site, telling members their ideas are stupid and informing his buddy the site monitor 'Necco' that folks that don't agree with him are 'trolls'. It’s ironic, because these democrats core believes are so twisted, that there is a fine line between their ideas and ‘qv’s. This is the home of the ‘progressive democrat’. But they are worried about getting off message. (Almost anything bad about Bush is OK.)

Why do I go to this site? The same reason I listen to Air America. To get an idea how they plan on counterattacking. Rest assured, they are in complete disorganization and are demoralized. But it is still fun to watch.

Here's today's crazy posting at democrats.com. Sad that
this is really what they think
(although they hid this one soon after)

Iraq "Election"
view trackbacks
by horusdame on 01/31/2005 10:55am.
Now that the farce known as the Iraq "election" is finished, how long will it take before Bush's puppets are installed? And let me get this straight, the insurgents are attacking daily and suddenly on "election" day they are no where to be seen? Who's fooling whom?

I've contacted John Conyers hoping he and the CBC will speak out against this show "election". We need as many people as possible to write to members of Congress to protest. The rightful Iraqi leader languishes in prison, whil Bush installs a puppet regime.

I was reading about Ramsey Clark who intends to mount a vigorous defense of Saddam. He refered to Hussein as "reserved, quiet, thoughtful and dignified". I wait some current Democratic party leaders to take a stand as courageous as Clark's.

Hey Mr. Bush, at least Saddam was elected!

Guys, not sure how strident we can be here, as even the NY Times is calling the election "remarkably successful". Let's just hope things continue to get worse.

Voter suppression Iraqi style

by horusdame on 02/02/2005 2:53pm.
I haven't seen anyone comment on this story today. The AP reports that tens of thousands of Iraqi people were unable to vote because some polling places never opened and an insufficient number of ballots were available in many locations, mostly in Sunni strongholds. Can this be a mistake? Not likely! Since registration was carefully controlled, the exact number of people who wanted to vote was known ahead of time. How can they have run out of ballots, and in the areas least likely to support a Bush puppet leader? Why were polling places not open to legally registered voters?

Sounds like Ohio 2004 all over again. No wonder Gorby called the election a fraud!
