You are trying to take three unrelated events and tie them together. The U.S was unaware of the severity of the holocaust until we actually started liberating the Jews. Once we realized the situation, the Americans were more than anxious to liberate anyone and everyone.

Actually we had testimony from escapees and from various reports of what was happening. An argument could be made that the death camp scenario was not known or could not be believed by the government. Still there was evidence well in advance that the Nazis were persecuting the Jews. We refused to allow many immigrants into our country from such countries, not even trying to change our quota system. Many argue that is the main reason for the U.S. steadfast support of Israel.
