ABOUT a century ago, the legendary publisher of the New York World, Joseph Pulitzer had a motto for his paper: "The World has no friends." Now, comes Hugh Miles with "Al-Jazeera," his exploration of the Qatari all-news network, and surely one of the most friendless news outlets of all time. The condemnation of Al-Jazeera by the United States and its allies is well known. The Bush administration criticized the network for its airing of anti-American views.
American bombs destroyed Al-Jazeera's Kabul office during the war in Afghanistan and its Baghdad office in the Iraq war, the latter attack killing a correspondent. Al-Jazeera believes these incidents were intentional. In 2003, the New York Stock Exchange booted out two longtime Al-Jazeera reporters. And Israel has also criticized Al-Jazeera for allegedly provoking violence there.

Fuel laden planes were flown by islamics into buildings in September 2001, killing 3,000 people.
The majority of the American people believe these "incidents" were intentional.
