Are Ripples from the Newsweek Story Causing a Sea Change? (MSM admits bias/labels Arabs violent)

As the Newsweek mess continued to reverberate, I expected admittedly-partisan magazines and blogs to call for more objective, responsible reporting.

However, I was surprised to find that hidden among the typical MSM articles rationalizing the riots as inevitable reactions to detainee abuse and the Bush doctrine, there was some introspection and change taking place in the old media.

For Example.....

But will they ever print pro-american articles as long as Bush is in the WH? That's the real test.

Better than Tina Brown's attempt to diffuse and confuse responsibility from yesterday's Washington Compost!

It's time MSM reported honestly. When thieves steal an altar box at a church, Christians and Catholics don't go on bloody, murderous rampages. When synagogues have swastikas painted on them, do you hear about gangs of Jews coursing the streets, raping, looting and murdering?

The radical Muslims have allowed us to get away with having zero expectations of them. They should be expected to hold themselves to the same course of conduct as all other people. The presence of Israel, America, or pick your grievance at random is no excuse for savagery.

If Huntington's "War of Civilizations" comes about, so be it.

It is time that MSM told the truth about this violence. Even if the Newsweek story were true, what happened was inexcusable.

If an altar box is stolen from a church, do we hear about Catholics going on bloody rampages? If a synagogue is descrecated with spray-painted swastikas, do we hear about Jews going on murdering, raping and looting sprees?

The same civilized conduct should be expected of Muslims as all other people. Anything less would be sheer, unadulterated racism.

The "grievance of the day", i.e. the Crusades, Zionism, American imperialism, etc. is no excuse for heinous conduct.

I am a dhimmi. I will admit this here before my fellow FReepers.

This weekend will be a series of posts on "Dhimmitude - And the Life of a Dhimmi" - stop by learn more of what you are in store for. This will all be from my first hand experience - what I go through on a daily basis from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep at night!

Learn how why that to accept Islam within your country requires that you sacrifice your freedom - stop by now and read how you are already losing it and don't even realize it.

Stop by now and see how in the fury over the Newsweek article that much of America missed the biggest story - the battle that we all collectively lost when our Secretary of State appeased and pleaded with our enemies that they might show us quarter - and then offered up our freedom in exchange for peace and security?

I urge you to read "Desecration of Freedom" and the other essays concerning the same.

Excert from http://www.thisislondon.com article, 5-20-05:

Former Guantanamo Bay detainee Martin Mubanga told the crowd he had seen a copy of the Koran "desecrated" during his time at Camp Delta.

He said: "This was one of the methods they used, throwing the Koran, my Koran, on the floor in my cell."

There is no doubt that whoever the terrorists are, Near Eastern/Arabs/Islamists/Muslims, they are a murderous cultish collective too willing to slaughter. Their FIRST response is groupthink "KILL". They react like crazed blood thirsty barbarians. (I don't intend to be politically-correct.)

Also, real threats to America's security is deliberated among malevolent partisan "liberals" in the Democrat party and within the MEDIA by fanning the flames of hatred and anti-Americanism.

America needs UNITY during perilous times. So-called liberals who are for the most party a dispirited LOUD minority of egocentrics, are mindlessly destructive, are devisive by nature, malevolent by nature and subversive by intent. Driven by perverse ideology, they covet ultimate political power. Leftists will use any selfish and any dangerous means to grasp it.

America needs leadership that will protect its citizens from Terrorism, and as well, will protect America from subversive anti-American entities like the ACLU and Soros' funded groups mandated to undermine America's foundations.

I am very thankful for having the NET medium to express my opinions and to be able to read the opinions of others.
The NET is the ground for grass roots activism and consensus.
