The only glitch I found on a cursory reading was Phoenix Project The Phoenix Project was an assination plot hatched by the CIA in the 1960's. I believe the project the author wanted was Venona.
A fairly long discussion of the Venona Project is found in "Treason" by Ann Coulter which prompted me to get "Venona" by Haynes and Klehr from the library...a 3 week wait to get it. Aside from a scholarly "dryness", the book was worthwhile.
