The one that PJ called "DUmmie Earthmama. I am so sorry about your mother. That must have been awful for all of you, especially your mother. She must feel like she lost a big part of her life. She certainly missed out on a lot of the best part, her children's childhoods. Yes, that is a terrible illness. I hope she is doing well now. Bless your Dad for standing by her.
Thanks. Yes, Dad did stand by her. Hid the sleeping pills so she couldn't find them and take them all at once. I was way too young at the time to know what was going on. I only remember being shipped off to my Grandparents' for six weeks when I was about 8. Turns out that she was in the psych ward in a hospital for six weeks after making a suicide attempt (she found the pills).
The Lord actually healed her miraculously (I know, sounds weird, but it happened). She had a few good years, but then she developed breast cancer and died. That was about 31 years ago.
