Toronto-- The April 20 "temporary" leave of absence from his post as top United Nations envoy to North Korea became a permanent one for Canadian tycoon Maurice Strong yesterday.
UN spokesman Marie Okabe said in response to a reporters question that Strongs contract expired last week "and has not been renewed". The admission came amid questions about Strongs connection to a well-publicized suspect in the ongoing UN oil-for-food scandal. (See: 'The Maustro' admits connection to `Koreagate Man')
In the politically correct, neutered lexicon of the UN, Strong, chief architect of the Kyoto Protocol, "has not been renewed". To the outside world, Strong has been pink-slipped.

Sounds like more of a buy out than a pink slip.
It costs a lot of money to get these pigs to retire to Paris.
They never retire, they take the money and get out while the getting is good.

Maybe you're right. But if nothing else, it's at least a temporary reprieve.

What ever it takes.
Good riddance to a bad man.

Don't think so.
To me, it sounds more like the 'oil-for-food' chickens are getting near to coming home to roost.
Now let's hope for the Kanuckistani ones to land loudly right around when Paul Martin is compelled to call the long promised post Adscam Report Canadian general election.

>> The UN decision not to renew follows closely on the heels of Strong only last week being awarded the prestigious Order of Manitoba. Strong was one of 12 individuals awarded the Order in the Manitoba legislative building on Monday, July 15. In June, Strong was appointed to the board of directors for the $300-million Winnipeg Museum for Human Rights. One hundred million of the $300-million pledged comes from the Canadian federal Liberal government--courtesy of the Canadian taxpayer.
That sounds like a buy out. He will need a wheelbarrow to move the cash he will have access to.

The Order of Manitoba is hardly any big deal: an award from the socialist government of a Canadian province less populated than roughly 45 of the U.S. states - WOW!
However, check this long expose' out if you haven't already seen it:
Winnipegs Museum For Human Rights: Canadas $300 Million Temple of Ideology
BTW, Strong already has lots of money but, so does Soros and he still ultimately couldn't impose his will on Ukraine or get John Kerry elected President.
Besides, with both it's all about power, prestige and elite social engineering - not cash.
