Savage Nation, Really

Michael Savage is angry that Department of Defence lawyers knew the whereabouts of four 9/11 terrorists in 1999, but kept intelligence departments from sharing the information. He says that these lawyers are responsible for 9/11 and should go to jail; as though they knew what the terrorists were planning. The information he found in the New York Post is nothing new. Its just more of the same story: we knew who the terrorists were, where they were, and could have gotten them. Just like the many opportunities Bill Clinton had to capture or kill Osama Bin Laden before 9/11, but didn't.

The previous administration didn't kill Americans on 9/11, the terrorists did. The only thing they're guilty of is enforcing liberal legislation. There is no basis for imprisoning them or even accusing them of any crime. Nor is George Bush going to have former President Bill Clinton arrested. Don't get me wrong, I do think Clinton's reluctance to act allowed the terrorists to complete their plans. Its just not a reasonable argument to call liberals and terrorists co-conspirators. That's all.

Again, Savage has pointed out information without suggesting a reasonable course of action for his nation wide audience. One of his callers last night said we should call our congressmen, to which Michael answered, "Who would listen to you?" Then he went off on a tangent about how futile any action would be short of, and I quote, "a military coup" against the government! This is what Savage does. He gets mad, then crosses his arms and pouts. Like a six year old, he refuses to participate if he doesn't get everything his way. Politics have never worked like this, and he should know this. All he can do is fume over it and convince his listeners to be angry with him. This is not healthy for us or intelligent on his part.

Michael is good at pointing out problems, but bad at organizing responses. I've never heard him truly endorse a candidate or author a bill. He doesn't have the network in the legal community to accomplish anything either. And he has told us many times that he will never run for office himself. So what good is he? Any body can be critical, but it takes a higher caliber mind to solve complex problems.

The point in this instance is simple. Liberalism is gonna kill us. The course of action is to keep liberals in check, out of power, and reverse what they've done to weaken the United States in the late 20th century. That's being done. And more needs to be done. So do call your senators and congressmen and tell them what you want done. Elect conservative, constitutionalist representatives. And remember this: pessimism is not the answer. It causes recession on many levels. Optimism and ideas drive a nation forward. Michael Savage as of yet still has none.

No, It's not the DOD's fault. It's Clinton's fault.

I caught a few minutes of the whackjob last night. He was proclaiming himself to be a prophet.

The previous administration didn't kill Americans on 9/11...

And it sure as hell didn't do anything about the 1993 attack on the WTC either. But just 2 years after 9/11, ol' Billy Jeff was just dyin' to blame Bush for his own mistakes.

Savage pounded the DOD for three hours today when he should have pounded Clinton and his crew !

Whenever he talks about the military or money he is a complete idiot.

He's an expert on plants though as he will tell you.

Yes, of course it is. And there's an attempted coverup. Don't expect the masses to get it though, cause the big media are a bunch of rats.

Let us not forget Jamie Gorelick who made it illegal for any intelligence department to share information with any like department.

Savage is the best radio talk show host. You chicken, no whimps allowed.

I stopped listening to Savage long ago. He's a mouth-breathing wombat. I can't believe so many still tune in to hear him vociferate craziness.

Savage is blaming the lawyers under Jamie Gorelick for keeping the info from the fbi. You should have listened to all three hours last night he was awesome.

As far as the lawyers go Savage has been down on "diaper, doper, babies"-lib/rat/lawyers for months and months now. Nothing new here. He may rant a lot but he is still the absolute best voice for protecting America on the air today.

By the way how much radio experience have you had to be able to judge him?

He's crazy like a fox. Many listeners just don't want to hear the unadulterated non PC truth. we are so used to having everything sanitized before we read or hear it. Savage is the real thing, not always pretty but always real. He is brilliant, does not make many statements without backing them up.

It's his delivery that irks me. It's as if he's broadcasting from a meth lab, constantly in "pissed off" mode. I'd rather listen to Porky Pig sing "Hey Jude".

And he's not afraid to talk about Bush's mistakes, which doesn't make him popular with the crowd here. But he tells it like it is, the raw naked truth, and he's great for doing that.

And I don't get people saying he's angry... you want angry, listen to Levin. He's by far the worst guy on talk radio today. Dead air, pointless rants, endless pushing of talking points, that's Levin.

savage is the most complex character in public life, let alone in radio. hyperactive intellect, emotions that never grew out of adolescence, classic little man complex, megalomania, paranoid narcissism, yet incisive, articulate, entertaining, and sometimes brilliant with flashes of genius.

If you look beyond the masculinity of his voice, you can hear an old bitter woman. put his voice through a harmonizer and you'll get something like joan rivers. it is really most evident when the talks to his dog. what man talks to his dog like that?

when he comes up with his self-proclaimed "brilliant" elementary school playground level monikers for people, and especially for his rivals like rush and hannity, he makes himself small and ridiculous. likewise when he ridicules someone's mispronunciations when his own speech is riddled with them, or when he demeans those who enjoy sports, as if his leisure time spent surfing channels was somehow more meaningful.

you can take the boy out of berkeley, but you can't take berkeley out of the boy. michael is a classic elitist. i think the chief reason that he's created himself as iconoclast is because he was rejected by the elite that he so wanted to be accepted by.

his emotions are still bound to his childhood and his psychologically abusive parents. he alternates between raging at them and trying to gain their approval. it's sad. all that crap is really a poison pill, absent which he would probably be the biggest thing in radio and television, hands down.

having said all that, i'm still a fan of his show. for me it's a love/hate relationship.
