Soylent Green was based on a novel by SF writer Harry Harrison called "Make Room! Make Room!"...I would absolutely call it Science Fiction.

Logan's Run starts well, but starts to drag.
THX-1138 (similar plot, dunno offhand which was first) is out in a new DVD version.
Minority Report, another adaptation of PK Dick, isn't bad, but isn't Dick.
