This is what passes for compassionate dialog on a Katrina survivor's forum and Yahoo's response to my harrassment complaint...

Type your feedback here: This person is harrassing individuals that are trying to reach loved ones caught in a natural disaster. His political views are apparent. To make stupid, hurtful remarks against these people is inexcusable. First Amendment rights do not apply to a contolled forum such as this. His privelages should be revoked. I will be consulting an attorney about this...

The Yahoo forums are deadly. A vomitous mix of racists and vulgarians.
Uh, what harassment?
I find it particularly offensive becaues I have friends and loved ones in the Mississippi Gulf Coast region.
Check the link...
The Locnar's mine!
That's rather mild for Yahoo, actually. I've EXPERIENCED "harassment" there , and that doesn't come close. Iggy the twit and move on.
I couldn't urge you more to avoid that hell hole. Those forums are depressing and and never fail to be so. It's sheer nihilism and its completely unmoderated.
Iggy the twit? That sounds funny! What does it mean?
I guess I'm just naive. I'm used to FreeRepublic rules...
I read the thread.
This is actually pretty mild, written by someone who fancies himself not of the human race. Ignore him and move on-- not worth the effort or the bandwidth.
I still think it's way out of line to let this be posted on a Katrina Survivor's list...
See the little link that says "Ignore this user"? That's commonly know as the "Iggy Button" on Yahoo. Press that and he and his posts disappear.Twits like that will soon poof if they're not getting noticed. (Come to think of it, an iggy button would be useful here on occasion..oh Modddssss.....)
Thank God I found FR. That's were I used to go...and I think it filled up my book of life with all the cussing I did.
You put 'em in the iggy bin...
He is from Houston Texas, I traced him down in Houston.
He is a SBC DSL Customer. You can report him to SBC with his IP Address, forget Yahoo, the people you are talking to are lowly Indian workers. They can only follow their SOP, Standard Operating Procedure. You should read them, they are very funny.
hmmmm. Is that you Dan Rather???? You have been strangly absent from all the botched up biased stories trying to pin blame on Bush.

How the hell do you do that...don't answer, I wouldn't understand if you did. :-)
You know if he is on DSL he is downtown, DSL has limited range.
It would be funny if he was working for the city government, wouldn't it. Maybe the mayor, heheh.
Oh, by the way, he is online right now.
