Regarding Those Hurricanes

I can't say I agree with the premise of the photo completely.

Houston is run by liberals just like New Orleans is.

But at least Texans have the good sense to come in out of the rain. Or, get out of its way, as the case may be.

I don't care about politics, this is my neighbors home. Katrina did it. I have 100 more pics like this. All in my neighborhood.

I live in Lake Charles and all I can say is that the elected leaders here are extremely competent, most are democrats too. A former mayor, Sen. Willie Mount also a dem, had enough foresight and fiscal sense set up a rainy day account from the gambling monies that will keep the city solvent while recovering from Rita. The key is electing competent people who keep their heads when facing a crisis situation. It matters who you elect.

FWIW Houston also had a few more days to evacuate than NO plus they saw what not to do. They did however have their own little kinks that need to be worked out.
