A few days before the elections in Ohio, the Columbus Dispatch gleefully reported that their polling showed that all of the liberal-inspired "voting reform" initiatives were going to pass by a wide margin. They also reported that this time around, Dewey would beat Truman, just to be consistent.
Imagine our utter surprise {snort} when, once again, the reporting of Ohio's premier capital city newspaper was thunderingly, unspinnably exposed as yet another media attempt to interfere with the election process through fraudulent reporting.
For the record, (an alien concept to liberal rags), the "reforms" pushed by the liberals here in 4 separate issues did not get two thirds of the voter's approval. In fact the diametric opposite occurred, when two thirds of the voters told the liberal "push-poll" machine just where the sun doesn't shine.
Personally, I think it's Dubya's fault...
Nicely written.
I'll bet you won't see any editorials about how wrong they were either. Newspapers have really lost their influence over elections, and we are all the better for it.
