Ali does the "Rope-a-Dope" on Bush. This draft dodger, Cassius Clay, changed his name to Muhammad Ali and became a Muslim in order to avoid serving his country during the Vietnam war. For some reason (does anyone know?) everyone now loves to kiss his ass. What did he ever do for his country to deserve this honor? As a further insult, they do it right before Veterans Day.

I don't "worshop" either one of them. If you're going to complain about something though you should at lest have your facts straight.

We even have freepers that support a President of the US that once was a boozer, can you believe it? By the way he did not dodge the draft he was a conscientious objector. And knowing the south in the 60s Ali was right, there were a lot of whites that would do him a lot more harm than a Vietnamese. I sure am glad no one here did anything stupid when they were younger, but none were probably heavy weight champion of the world.

I've never liked Ali or Cassius Clay and think he is/was responsible for a whole movement of braggadocio, arrogance and boastful, thuggish behavior as evidenced by all the hip hop and rap scum of today.
Ali was a leader and founder of trash culture. I think in some ways he and his narcissistic braggadocio is responsible for the beginning of the end of decent behavior everywhere.
I think he's repulsive, teasonous, anti-American scum. I'm sure Harry Belefonte loves him

1. The founding fathers were OPPOSED to military conscription. It was LINCOLN who introduced the asinine practice to the U.S. Why should somebody be forced to take a government job by law?
2. Ali was a conscientuous objector, did not flee the country, took his case to court, and was recognized as a conscientuous objector by the Supreme Court.

Was that Clinton or Bush that played "Don't get fooled again" during their campaign ?
This kind of stunt makes me mix them up.

Pardon the "drive-by" post, but LEST is actually a very old word.
Main Entry: lest
Pronunciation: 'lest
Function: conjunction
Etymology: Middle English les the, leste, from Old English thy l[AE]s the, from thy (instrumental of thæt that) + l[AE]s + the, relative particle
: for fear that -- used after an expression denoting fear or apprehension <worried lest she should be late> <hesitant to speak out lest he be fired>
