I'm Doing Talk Radio Today!

My friend, Mychal Massie, has invited me to host his talk radio show Straight Talk on Right Talk Radio tomorrow, Tuesday, January 3, 2005 beginning at 1 pm E.T. You can tune in by going here and clicking on the button that says Straight Talk. It will replay every hour for the remainder of the day.

Because I am on this subject of the movie, Brokeback Mountain, I’ve asked David Kupelian to be my guest and he has accepted. He wrote the article, Brokeback Mountain: Rape of the Marlboro Man, that I referred to in this post.

He has a much more sophisticated take on the movie that I do (to me it’s unmitigated crapola that should be laughed off the screen) and its status as propaganda. The movie is a perfect example of what he wrote about in his book, THE MARKETING OF EVIL:How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised as Freedom. To see what I mean, go here to read the first chapter of the book which is right on point with what Brokeback Mountain represents–propaganda.

Tune in and feel free to call into the show.

Update: For an antidote to contemplating the above movie, tune into Turner Classic Movies. They Were Expendable starring John Wayne is showing as I write. It’s about the hero crews of PT boats in the Phillipines during WWII.
