Georgian Foreign Ministry spokesman: Use of Georgian territory against Iran is a fantasy
Regnum ^ | 21.02.2006

Posted on 02/26/2006 9:34:50 PM PST by jb6

There has been no negotiation with any country, including the US, about the use of Georgian bases and airports for military operation against Iran,” Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Chechelashvili told the press. He called “fantasies” all reports of Israeli mass media about intention of Georgian government to render its bases in use to US is it attacks Iran.

As REGNUM already informed, earlier, The Jerusalem Post citing anonymous source in the Georgian government informed, that Washington unofficially addressed Tbilisi with a request to use bases on Georgian territory in case of attack against Iran.

Before any serious buildup for a military attack, the cowards are putting on their pink Tutu's and dancing for the Islamics.

But it is nice to know who your friends are. Any country that stands away from us in the war on terrorism, should also be remembered that they are not standing with us when the hat is passed for those that need help.

Besides, until our National Debt is paid off, why should we go further in debt for those who refuse to?

"The territory and sovereignty of Georgia must be respected ... by all nations. ...You gathered here, armed with nothing but roses and the power of your convictions, and you claimed your liberty. ...And because you acted, Georgia is today both sovereign and free, and a beacon of liberty for this region and the world. ...Standing with the president of Georgia should send a message that we embrace freedom movements and we stand with young democracies, and we want to help where we can help build the institutions that outlast the moment, so that future generations of Georgians can grow up in a free society." - George W. Bush

Don't worry about our debt. Saakashvili admitted that last year he and his ministers were all paid by the Open Society, and we all know just how much Soros "loves" Israel.

Russia must really be giving us the finger then since they sided with Saddam against us and now are helping the Ayatollahs get nukes to wipe Israel from the map.

At least Georgia sided with us in Iraq, unlike Russia which helped Saddam kill American soldiers.

Need I say what Russia will do to Georgia if they allow US bases into Georgia???? Georgia is succumbing to Putin's pressure here.

Georgia sided with Soros and as long as funds flowed they "sided". On the other hand, they buy gas from Iran and are next door to Iran, so guess who matters more. A fight in Iran will be much harsher then a fight in Iraq. Your boy Saakashvili has flown his flag. Using Georgia for air bases would serve to save a lot more US lives then the 100 or so troops that Georgia has sent, a token force for a lot more then they're worth in foreign aid.

Russia is the one who sided with Soros, Michael Moore and every other pinko on Earth on the question of Iraq. Georgia only bought gas from Iran temporarily because Russia is so unreliable. Georgia will side with the US again against the Russian Axis of Evil if we have to fight Iran. Russia will be our enemy no matter what.

Yeah, that's why there is an arrest warrent out for Soros. Putin was the ONLY world leader to endorse Bush, not once but 4 times. Russia's pipeline was blown up, but you knew that.

the US again against the Russian Axis of Evil if we have to fight Iran

wow, you must have missed that whole thing about Bush endorsing Putin's talks. Gosh, how could that be?

Russia will be our enemy no matter what.

Only in your day dreams.

Russia's pipeline was blown up by South Ossetian separatist narco-terrorists Russia supports. They don't care about disrupting Gazprom's profits, only about freezing Georgia into submission, but they won't be intimidated by this Russian aggression.

Russia's pipeline was blown up in 3 places, two of them rather far away from S.Ossessia. Try again.

about freezing Georgia into submission, but they won't be intimidated by this Russian aggression.

Which is why the Russians bent over backwards in the coldest winter in 25 years to get extra gas flow through Azerbaijan and to restart those pipelines.
