Georgia Democratic Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, who is also a recent Smails Award Winner is apparently crying racism at the criticism of her punching a Capitol Hill Police Officer who mistakenly tried to stop her because she didn't go through a metal detector.

A statement attributed to McKinney has been released on the Internet, where she allegedly claims to have been harassed by Capitol Hill Police.

The statement's writer says that she has been harassed by white police officers she says do not recognize her due to her recently changed hairstyle.

"Do I have to contact the police every time I change my hairstyle? How do we account for the fact that when I wore my braids every day for 11 years, I still faced this problem, primarily from certain white police officers," the statement says.

The writer details the incident, saying, "I was rushing to my meeting when a white police officer yelled to me. He approached me, bodyblocked me, physically touching me. I used my arm to get him off of me. I told him not to touch me several times. He asked for my ID and I showed it to him. He then let me go and I proceeded to my meeting and I assume that the Police Officer resumed his duties. I have counseled with the Sergeant-at-Arms and Acting Assistant Chief Thompson several times before and counseled with them again on today's incident. I offered also to counsel with the offending police officer."

Well, as a service to the Capitol Hill PD and the Congresswoman, let us try to bridge the gap. Cynthia McKinney is the one who always tries to get the aisle seat at the State of the Union Address so she can be seen on TV hugging the President, even though she thinks he knew about 9/11 ahead of time and did nothing. She's also the one who voted against honoring victims of 9/11. And she's the one whose donor list looks like the phone book listing for downtown Tehran.

And really, why do Congressmen and women get exempt from having to go through security checkpoints? McKinney's tirade is similar to that of Shelia Jackson-Lee who says "You don't understand. I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen."

Oh, Cynthia and Shelia seem like "Queens" alright. It's just that the word that follows "Queen" starts with a "B" and rhymes with "witch".

Here's a radical idea: make Congresscritters go through the metal detectors like every other citizen of the United States.

They are employees, not royalty.

Cynthia has brought enough shame to the House that they should ban her from the buildings, and throw her big butt out on the street. She is a dangerous woman with absolutely no sense of decency, an embarrassment to the State of Georgia, and a general pain in the a$$. She should be shunned and brought up on ethics charges by the House leadership, but they won't do it because they don't have the guts to, so shame on them too.
