I don't think they really want power - they really get into being the victim of other people's power. Then they can rant and rave and stage armchair revolutions and say death to the regime. They couldn't handle power and they know it. So they are jealous of those who do. At least that's how they appear to me. Their worst day will be when there are no evil Republicans and no evil Bush regime to feel superior to and victimized by. By their logic, being a victim is being a hero.

I think one of the most fascinating aspects of this loony cult is the constant paranoid delusions about living under a fascist regime, being "watched" by the government, being falsely accused of some crime because of their political beliefs and/or being put in some kind of detention camp for their beliefs none of which have or will happen because despite their raging hysterics they just aren't significant or effective enough to call attention to themselves. The fact that they utterly fail to see the disconnect shows how deluded and stupid they are. Were I a sociologist this DUmmie asylum would be worthy of study. Note to dems: policy differences are NOT crimes. Lying under oath is a crime, even if that lying is only about "sex" or because one doesn't understand the definition of "is".

The invasion of Iraq was a war crime on its face.

Let me guess the Iraqi people who are free for the first time in a very long time will have no say in this, but the disgruntled baathists and terrorists (oops, insurgents) will.

It was an unnecessary war of aggression without cause or provocation and without proper authorization from the UN Security Council.

How many resolutions was that? How many threats of "we really, really, really mean it this time" SHOULD there be? Perhaps the security council was too busy taking slices of Saddam's oil-for-food pie to notice what was happening under their noses (denial seems to be one of the things the UN does best). Of course the 5000 Iraqi women and children dying everyday (at least according to amnesty international) because Saddam was syphoning off money to pay for his illegal deals doesn't count and besides none of this was Saddam's fault, it was the fault of those who IMPOSED the sanctions. But I guess when it's the UN involved this kind of thing (or raping women and children) isn't a crime, just a minor faux pas.

The reasons given for the war were false. When Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Libby and General Powell said they had proof that Saddam had biochemical weapons, a "reconstituted" nuclear program or intimate ties to international terrorism, they were lying. What intelligence they had was inconclusive at best.

All I can say is this document dump that proves his ties to terrorist and his weapons cache is just sweet and the timing couldn't be better. They and their media cohorts are trying desperately to hide or discredit them but all they're doing is holding back the coming flood...right in time for the midterms. I can't wait for the meltdown.
