They hurled bricks at us down in LA on the fourth of July during a pro Prop 187 rally. Turned into a full blown riot. Jessie Lee Petersen was there. I remember a little old lady dressed up as the statue of liberty being hauled off by paramedics...Took a brick in the face as I recall.
Just thugging the little old ladies that Americans won't...
Well it's as legit is it CAN be. I'm not sure how many La Voz actually speaks for, but it claims to speak for them all.
Is the provisional b.s. real? I'm sure some nut-job out there has claimed this title/rank whatever.
This type of thing doesn't surprise me. La Voz de Aztlan has been spewing jiberish for a number of years.
The problem is, there are always going to be some fringe nut-jobs that will tune in to this rhetoric and find purpose. Will this be accepted and adopted widespread? I don't think it will. Does it have to be to cause real problems?
We have allowed this situation to fester, and now we're going to reap the whirlwind. Sooner than later some of this is going to turn ugly.
Over-reacting on our side would be a very bad mistake. Let the cops sort this out. Of course they've done a wonderful job of enforcing the laws to this point...

Considering the sheer numbers involved, it would seem that the 'cops' are in over their heads and should a significant number of protesters believe this to be true and come armed, could a heap of trouble. Personally, I don't believe they should be allowed to assemble in such large numbers.
Thus far things have been peaceful, but, imo, thats only because these rallies have been, for the most part, somewhat unexpected and uncontested.

Engaging them would be a mistake. If they cause civil disturbances, they should be delt with like anyone else would be.
If they disrupt traffic and cause problems, they should forfeit their ability to rally in the future. If that should require the national guard be brought out to prevent it, so be it.
I would enforce every permit requirement that was on the books rigidly.

Q: Do you think we are 'letting them rally' or do you think we have no choice in the matter?
I ask because some of what you've already suggested has already happened. For the last few weeks we have seen hundreds of thousands of them take to the streets, block traffic, block on and off ramps from the freeways, etc. in major cities. I don't know of ANY city in this country that will write a permit for that kind of activity. They haven't had to 'forfit' any future permits. They're in our faces telling us they are going to do it again, bigger and better this time! They're illegal, they're breaking the law and they are daring us to try and stop them.
While D.C. is burying their politically correct amnesty heads in the sand, my gut just tells me that this thing has the potential to become our worst nightmare.
