[Fax Sent In CAPS To Ohio Senators]
DEAR SENATORS VOINOVICH AND DEWINE OF OHIO;
PLEASE, HELP ME, A CONSTITUENT AND FELLOW OHIOAN WHO IS TRYING TO PERSUADE SO MANY OTHER FELLOW CONSERVATIVES THAT THEY SHOULD NOT STAY HOME ELECTION DAY OR WORSE, VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT OR THIRD PARTY SO AS TO "PUNISH REPUBLICANS" FOR THEIR IGNORING THE PLEAS OF UNITED STATES CITIZENS ON IMMIGRATION REFORM.
BECAUSE OF PAST RINO-LIKE VOTING, MANY HAD SAID THAT THEY WOULD "HOLD THEIR NOSE," AND VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS STATEWIDE, BUT NOW, BECAUSE OF YOUR OVERLY GENEROUS ATTITUDE TOWARD ILLEGAL ALIENS, THESE SAME LIFELONG REPUBLICANS MAY NOT EVEN VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS - WHILE HOLDING THEIR NOSES.
THIS IS SUCH A FLAMMABLE ISSUE THAT IF IT IS NOT ADEQUATELY ADDRESSED, OHIO COULD EASILY ROLLOVER TO THE DEMOCRATS WHICH WOULD MEAN A FURTHER SETBACK FOR OHIO REMINISCENT OF THE CELESTE YEARS: BAD COURTS, HIGHER TAXES, HIGHER TUITIONS, MORE PEOPLE LEAVING OHIO, BUSINESSES HARMED ETC, ETC - ALL BECAUSE OUR SENATORS, THEY SAY, ARE MORE LIBERAL THAN SHERROD BROWN - AN AVOWED SOCIALIST.
IF TIME HAS GIVEN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AMNESTY, WHY CANNOT TAX-EVADERS ALSO BE SHOWN LENIENCY AFTER DISOBEYING TAX LAWS FOR TEN YEARS? WOULD YOU GRANT TAX CHEATS AMNESTY IF THEY COULD GET AWAY WITH IT?
THIS ISSUE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU CAN EVEN THINK. DO THE RIGHT THING.
Hi Joe.
Toledo Ohio here. I have been a faithful supporter of President Bush, including Dubai, but have been greatly concerned and disappointed about his lack of interest, post 9/11, in securing the border and enforcing the immigration laws. His and the Senate's proposals to make border security dependendent upon a provision for 'earned amnesty' are unacceptable, and imo, blackmail, besides which, the border security proposed, is, itself, a joke.
I have written Gilmore, Voinovich, and DeWine many times. I continue to receive the same repeat form letters with the same message on the importance of supporting a 'comprehensive' plan for no-amnesty, AMNESTY .
While I have the same concerns as you about loosing the state to the democrats, my idea of the 'doing the right thing', does not include voting for anyone, republican or democrat, who is on Bush's pro-amnesty side of the immigration issue. I don't know what I will do in November, but until then, I don't believe that it is the responsibility of the no-amnesty voters to cave on such a critical issue, simply because our POTUS and D.C. leadership have decided to join forces with the liberals and illegals.
Sounds like the letters that Boxer and Feinstein send.
DeWine won his primary with 74% of the vote.
He's under the impression that you and your buddies are a distinct minority in his party. He'll ignore you.
Thanks to all the party operatives who voted RINO. You rewarded his liberalness with your support.
His ACU rating is in the 50's. He shouldn't have received more than one percent more than that in the primary.
