BREAKING NEWS: Francine Busby Seeking Campaign Help From Illegal Aliens Candidate caught on tape, "You don't need papers for voting."

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 2, 2006) -- Francine Busby has been caught on tape soliciting campaign help from illegal aliens in San Diego County.

At a campaign event last night in Escondido, Busby was asked in Spanish whether someone could help even though they “do not have papers.” Busby responds affirmatively, stating “Everybody can help, yeah, absolutely, everyone can help. You don’t need papers for voting, you don’t need to be a registered voter to help.”

“At best, Francine Busby was caught red-handed brazenly soliciting campaign help from illegal aliens, and at worst she is encouraging illegals to vote by claiming that ‘you don’t need papers to vote,’” said San Diego Republican Chairman Ron Nehring. "Busby is so desperate to win a political campaign she's inviting people illegally in the country to save her campaign. It's an outrage."

Key points:

Even if given every benefit of the doubt, Francine Busby is eliciting campaign help from people who are legally not permitted to participate in federal elections. Foreigners, including illegal aliens, are specifically prohibited by law from making donations to federal candidates and from voting.

“You don’t need papers for voting.” We already know Francine Busby is weak on controlling illegal immigration, but to state that one does not need papers, presumably citizenship papers, to vote is even more outrageous. Francine Busby should have instead made clear that people who are not citizens and qualified to vote should not be participating in a federal election.

This is not the first time Francine Busby has resorted to underhanded campaign tactics. On the same day she solicited campaign help from illegal aliens she was running a radio commercial encouraging voters concerned about illegal immigration to vote for no-shot-at-winning independent candidate William Griffith over Brian Bilbray. Well, when the Republican Party failed to come to the aid of "B-1" Bob Dornan
when he lost to Ms. Sanchez due to votes cast by non-citizens...
this was the inevitable outcome.

No, he lost a Democrat-majority district because he ran a hopeless Presidential bid for many months, and didn't take care of constituent needs. His standing in his district dropped like a rock because he didn't work on things like social security and veteran's benefits problems.

Everyday it seems we hear of another who is breaking the law and further encouraging others to do the same. But are law-enforcement folks lifting a finger to do anything about it. NO! They're just letting it all happen. Then, when we're about smothered with illegal activity, they say, "How did this happen?"
