Sounds like Abu became a Liability, and was offered as a sacrificial pig?

I dunno. The Missouri people have a very good motto: Show Me. Until the Iranians can clearly demonstrate that they have not provided support that resulted in coalition death and injury, this is pure propaganda.

What GIS sources could not determine based on hard intelligence and what remained most critical to the regional equation was what had triggered Zarqawis fatal split with Tehran. Maybe when he blew up the Golden Mosque? Or when he said it was part of jihad to kill Shiites?
To: FARS
Oh sure. Hamas was critical in passing on the intelligence.
I wasn't there, so i don't know, but that sounds like far more than a reach.
Hamas can't even figure out how to pick up the garbage in Gaza.

Iran has many more, equally or more important, fish to fry than just their Iraq activities, which he was putting into jeopardy.
When you see Shias attacking the Iranian Consulate in Iraq, it means they are more than annoyed at Iran and the primary reason was Zarghawi slaughtering Shias.

I'm having a little trouble with this one myself. Could be a means of playing the terrorists against Iran.

This sounds like disinformation to discredit the efforts of the US and coalition forces.

Could be a means of playing the terrorists against Iran Very interesting possiblity too.
To: cripplecreek
Could be, but on the face of it I'm reminded of Colonel Kurtz and "Apocalypse Now" - Iranian style.

Could be a means of playing the terrorists against Iran.Next month's headline: Exact GPS locations of Iranian nuclear weapons bunkers leaked to US.

The only reason I can see for Iran to do this is the possibility they knew that zarqawi was trying to cause problems between the USA and Iran. Granted, Iran wants to cause problems but they want to be able to control those problems and Zarqawi was making a mess of things.
In any case, if it causes infighting among the terrorists and their supporters, it's a good thing.

Tehran had not been given to the Coalition directly. Instead, the critical intelligence was filtered through Palestinian intermediaries (specifically HAMAS) and from them passed on to the highest levels of the Jordanian Government. Amman then forwarded this intelligence to Washington and, GIS sources noted, then played a hands-on rôle in the military operation itself with strong indications that Jordanian Special Forces had been present on the ground for the attack itself, although it remained unclear in precisely what capacity.
Naaaah.

This could not be the same HAMAS that is bankrupt and on their heels in the pali lands. Groveling for money from the west.

Well, didn't that captured document list one of Z-man's strategies was to foster war between the US and Iran to force us into a second front? Perhaps Iran wasn't quite ready to mix it up with the Great Satan. No surprise there.
