Sandy, there are still people trying to recover from the Scripps Ranch fire. It was the scariest thing I've ever awakened to in my life. We were just out of harms way but close enough to see the flames coming. I was dumb struck when I heard how people wanted to clear their land or even the empty lots next to them and weren't allowed to do so.

We had just left California when that fire hit. Many of our friends were in in the middle of it, not to mention how far onto MCAS Miramar it went (since the enviros wouldn't let us clear brush on East Miramar).

Wow. Of all the Dummie Funnies I've read, this is one of the better examples of just how detached from reality the dummies are. In order to maintain my faith in humanity, I have to hope that all their speculation on how glorious a Gore presidency would have been is just wishful thinking on their part, and not what they really, truely believe.

Thanx and don't forget that I now have audio podcasts as well. The frequency of those podcasts will be INCREASING in the near future. Ultimately I plan to add video AND maybe even comix stories as well. First I need to build up my Web traffic which is why more frequent DUFU postings now. Anybody out there with advice on how to build up traffic to the blog, I'm all ears.

The 2001 recession would have deepened and lasted the better part of a year costing hundreds of throusands of jobs.
