unbelievable.

What's unbelievable? That the Pope didn't say to nuke all Muslims? Or that the media put words in his mouth again? Or that you believed them?

Unbelievable?

Would you prefer that all the Vatican Guards mount up on horses, get out their armor, swords and spears and ride off to the Middle East (again)?

You're probably not Catholic. There is nothing unbelievable about the Pope apologizing. The Pope would prefer that we all love every single Muslim, which we all should. After all, that's what Christ wants us to do.

The Pope has apologised to the world's Muslim community after making comments about the history of Islam, according to media reports.

He said he hoped the speech had not been taken as being intentionally offensive and insisted that the Vatican was "strongly upset" by the Islamic world's reaction, the BBC reports.

Its unbelievable that the above quote from the pope could be headlined as " I'm sorry."

He flat out states he's strongly upset by muslim reaction to the quote. That does not constitute an apology. The Pope always speaks in measured words. I strongly doubt he would retract carefully thought out positions because people "react" to them. I'm sure the Pope knew the reaction his quote would receive. The reaction absolutely reinforces the quote and becomes another example of the violent nature of the religion of peace.
