If this gets out, he's toast. Paging the Blackwell campaign...
Strickland is Gay Ping!
The longer I live, the more I believe that the government of this country is run through with nothing but reprobates.
Our government is corrupt. Most other governments are as well. It seems to me that the allure of an adoring public, willing to throw money at a candidate, is too much to resist. Once in office, crumbs can be thrown back, and hordes of taxpayer staff can begin their brainwashing jobs, seeking, and most often finding ways to convince a gullible public that not only were they right in electing -------to office, but it was devinely inspired, and nothing should ever get in the way of their choice staying in office.
That is a cynical view, but one informed over a long lifetime of observation, and involvement in the process.
The Congressman and his "Beard"?.
Semper Fi
Unless Strickland was to confess this just looks like dirty politics. I don't like the Foley thing being hung over some possibly gay but conservative republicans, let alone the entire party, and I don't like it on the flipside by republicans against democrats.
Rumours in the waning days of a campaign as a tactic, irregardless of how one stands in the polls, are not how one wins.

Agreed... let's leave the slander to the democrats, and show strickland for something he really is: a DC, welfare-state liberal whose views are far to the left of those he hopes to represent in Ohio...
I'm going to see JKB tomorrow in Independence, and if I get the opportunity to ask a question it will have to do with his thoughts on welfare in the state.
If this is true, no wonder why Strickland was hot under the collar during the debate. But don't look to the MSM for help. They called the swipe JKB took an act of despiration by someone who is losing badly in the polls!!!!!!

He'll get 99% in the Short North.
To be perfectly honest, I could care less if the man is a homosexual; the fact that he's pro-abortion, pro-homosexual and a tax-and-spend liberal is enough to turn me away from this guy. Taxes are killing the state of Ohio and I believe he will do more of the same taxing that destroying this state. But, I'm with Pullins on this one: I don't want another McGreevey incident. If Mr. Strickland is gay, he should at least be honest enough to admit it!
I do believe his vote in 1999 and the fact that he hired a convicted sex offender (and went to Italy with him alone) is an important issue though. Thanks to the DemocRATS overplaying their hand and bringing up the Mark Foley "scandal", a door has been opened to expose the hypocrisy of the RATS and Mr. Strickland's vote and actions have now become an important issue in this race.
Is Ohio about to elect a man who is soft on pedophilia? A man who doesn't have the sense to do background checks on convicted sex predators who may want to work for him? I don't care what anyone says, this IS important! I don't want this state to become a haven for these child predator monsters all because the "governor" feels like we shouldn't "judge" them!
Dirty politics, my foot! I don't want a man who's soft on pedophilia as my governor! Keep up the pressure, you undocumented journalists (my pet name for the conservative bloggers - doing the work so-called "real" journalists won't do!).
This is crap. Who cares if he is gay or not.
I really don't. Just found it funny in light of everything else.
I'm not actually suggesting the Blackwell campaign run a "Strickland's a homo" ad or anything. I do think they need to emphasise his pro-pedophile vote though.
However, like Sister_T said, I agree that I don't want a MecGreevey-like incident to occur in Ohio if Strickland becomes Governor.
"This is crap. Who cares if he is gay or not."
While I don't particularly care what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedrooms, it looks like Strickland may use his office for unseemly ends. The latter is very relevent, regardless of the motive.
