Reading their take on Real Security (http://www.democrats.org/a/2006/10/rnc_ad_shows_de.php) depicting the GOP as desperate is really scary. This is a piece they should have waited until Halloween to run. To quote from the second paragraph, “Clearly Republicans are so afraid of their abysmal record they can’t offer one example of what they’ve done to keep America safe. Democrats offer Americans a real plan to keep us safe at home and around the world that starts with tracking down the terrorists, not just more fear and smear attack ads.”

Where do I begin after rolling on floor laughing because they say this with a straight face?

Democrats offer a real plan to keep us safe. You mean the same Democrats that…

On missile defense of America – voted against it.

On the Patriot Act – voted against it.

On tapping foreign terrorists’ phone calls to the US – voted against it.

On tracing terrorists’ money flow between foreign banks – voted against it.

On offering detainees rights under the Geneva Convention and our civil rights – Democrats were all for that.

On building a border wall to control illegal immigration and stop dealers and terrorists – voted against it.

On interrogating captured terrorists – 194 Democrats voted against it.

On telling the world (and more importantly, our enemy) about a timetable for surrender and deserting Iraq – this is their plan to win the war.

A question for you Dems out there, and only the Dems, how do you sleep at night supporting the A-holes who say they have a plan when they don’t have any of the tools to carry it out? Do you ever ask the question how they’re going to do this? Don’t you ever think about their voting record and who that benefits? Can you answer with a straight face that everything I listed above that Democrats voted against benefits the American people? If so, please explain your rational. I've been lurking around there longer than I have any other political forum. While one can understand why DU, Kos & Huffpo, u.s.w. allow so many disgusting ideas to be shouted, it is difficult to fathom why the Democratic Party's official Website would allow a comparable bunch of lunatics (albeit with slightly less obscenity) to post there with impunity.

I mean, they are one of two established political parties in the country that leads the free world--where's the sense of decorum?

I guess howlin' Howie caterwauled it all away.

BTW, their open threads are fertile ground for lampooning. Remember, folks like PamB and DPW represent the "stable" faction of their party.
