Did we lose a helo in Iraq containing 2 Colonels, 1 Lt Colonel...

Here is the link to the CNN Website showing KIA in Iraq. Exactly the ranks listed by Honestjoe are listed KIA in a Blackhawk crash. Maliki is our ally? Oh my gosh the ramifications to our efforts in Iraq are dreadful…the only way to get past this is to understand that Iran is pulling the strings and take the war finally to Iran. The United States has to stop acting like a we fell off the turnip truck yesterday.

How did the insurgents know who was on that Helicopter? Are they getting inside information? How can we continue to fight if the very government we are fighting to protect is aiding and abetting attacks on us?

The terrorists know that this is a crucial moment in American history. They understand the crushing blow it will be for the American public to see that not only did we lose some tremendously valuable men but that we have been infiltrated by our enemy aided and abetted by those we have vowed to protect.

Below I include the entire comments of one Honestjoe. These were recently left in response to this post, Sophisticated Attack, does this implicate Iran?. I do not know Honestjoe but his comments have the ring of truth in them from what I know of the situation in Iraq. These are presented in two parts with the second part containing the most blockbuster revelation. In that portion Honestjoe outlines the loss of a single helicopter with a list of officers on it that if it turns out to be confirmed will be a body blow to our efforts.

I do not trust Maliki or any Iraqi at all because of what happend during the latest attacks on our military and here is why….

This smells like an inside job.

The sky isn't falling. High ranking officers typically travel by helicopters. Unless there is more evidence, it was luck of the draw. Just guessing, but they were probably returning from a meeting. There is a regular bus service using Helos over there. But it could have been worse. When I was over there, it was not unusual for me, a LtCol, to get bumped, so we are lucky it wasn't a general and a pile of colonels. In fact, I got bumped so often, that I stopped even trying to get on a helo and as a matter of course went by ground transportation.

Rabid Paranoia is a mental illness. Seek professional help immediately. While you are at it. Quit acting as an Al Qeda Propagandist on a topic you clearly know NOTHING about.

If there's evidence that the aircraft was brought down due to any specific intel gathered by the enemy, it hasn't been released nor should it be for OPSEC reasons. It could simply be a case of a target of opportunity that happened to have a full load of pax on board.

How did you manage to come up with your numbers when CNN is reporting 2 dead? Are you lying to us perhaps?

Excuse me, both CNN and the US Military list it as a crash. Helicopters crash. It almost odd they do not do it more often. They are possibly one of the fragilest air crafts know to man. There is nothing that indicates it was hostile action.

How do you explain that the two black hawks in Somalia were brought down by RPGS, not "sophisticated missiles"?

Perhaps you should put your chicken little impression on hold. Mindless rumor mongering and hysteric about Iraq does neither you credibility, nor the war effort, any good.

"which just might happen under democrat leadership." That's what scares me. I believe we've had no attacks here again because Bush is still President and the terrorists know Bush has the you-know-whats to rain down the wrath of hell on their heads in their own countries. If a eunuch demoncrat gets elected president in 2008, we'd all better watch out.

Regarding Maliki - I don't trust him. I think there is a valid point in this article, especially with the planned attack in Karbala. It stinks awful!

hehe...Rabid parania pretty funny stuff. Al Qaeda propagandist for wondering if our operations have been penetrated by the Agents of Iran and the Insurgents in Iraq? After we have an operation inside of Iraq that see's four of our soldiers kidnapped in the same fashion as the Israelis by Hizb'Allah? And it is merely a coincidence that sees a helicopter full of officers go down? Fine...lets wait till they slap us across the face before we ask any questions.

Nowhere in my article does it state that sophisticated missiles were used to bring down the Helicopter. The point of the article was to ask was it merely a coincidence that saw a helicopter brought down with a belly full of officers...including to Command Sgt Majors.

And btw Helicopters are NOT that fragile...being hit by a RPG and crashing does not mean you are fragile...RPG's are meant to destroy armored vehicles. Btw helicopters have been hit by RPG's and not crashed.
