Duncan Hunter for President
Myth Debunker ^ | 02/11/07 | Yomin Postelnik

Posted on 02/11/2007 8:17:29 AM PST by Yomin Postelnik

Duncan Hunter offers much that conservatives and even non-conservatives can both admire and appreciate. Unique among an otherwise all too timid Congress, Hunter has distinguished himself as a forceful proponent of common sense views that find little favor in either party. Whether it be his principled defense of the unfairly or harshly convicted, his common sense stance against jeopardizing national security with a porous border while still being clearly in favor of legal immigration, his stance on trade that protects the individual worker and that is best for American business or his general openness to needed change as it benefits the public, Duncan Hunter has shown himself to be an articulate advocate of the public good and a credit to the GOP.

The man is known for his personal compassion, a quality that allows him to stand up forcefully on the right side of major issues. There are other proponents of policies which he endorses, but none come across as effectively as he does. His life story exudes trustworthiness and this is only part of what makes him the only effective communicator of conservative policy currently in the race. This ability stems from his good intentions which lead him to analyze what is correct above that which is popular.

This country needs someone who will analyze issues in terms of what's right for the people. In these posts we've pointed out the need to give parents choices about the healthcare of their children, allowing them to use proven methods of alternative medicine without the nanny state threatening and coercing them as well as the need for alternative sentencing as an effective and compassionate way of dealing with crime as opposed to a system that has become increasingly harsh and punitive. No one should have to worry about facing prison over a simple mistake and prison should not be employed in cases which pose a danger to society. The current system threatens society in and of itself. With both these issues, as well as with so many others, change is needed and people who recognize the need for such change must be supported.

Duncan Hunter is the best voice on the national stage to accomplish these goals. He's also the best to explain conservative policy and philosophy to what has unfortunately become an increasingly apathetic public. It is in the interest of everyone to support him. As for the GOP nomination, it's well known that the media wishes to present a view of conservatives that is so skewed it would cause outrage were any other group subjected to the same. Duncan Hunter can effectively refute this image. No other candidate has even attempted. For all of these reasons Duncan Hunter deserves our support.

Let's not let the MSM push their media darlings!

Better yet, lets not let the GOP leadership push their media darlings on us.

I hope Republicans will with hold their monetary contributions
to the GOP leadership. This will be one way of getting their attention, maybe???

If you have donations, and you believe in Duncan Hunter as I do, please forward them to, the Hunter campaign.

The Duncan Hunter supporters are a fine mix of social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, religious conservatives, infidels, and right-wing extremists.
***Sounds like Free Republic in the old days before the RINO invasion.

Bump for your post..... It helps to get all candidates exposure so that an informed choice can be made by the voters during the primaries. Not sure who I'll be casting my lot with at this stage but we need to see all the nominees out front and center....

Good luck with your choice...... Hunter is an unknown to many around the country. Every article or item of info about his beliefs, talents, executive skills, legislative accomplishments, etc helps to further his chances.

Thanks - We need more open people like you to examine the candidates - which btw is never what the media wants.

Thanks!
