The Mitt Romney Deception
Backwater Report ^ | March 21, 2007 | Carmon Friedrich

Posted on 03/22/2007 4:09:43 PM PDT by The_Eaglet

This is from Americans for Truth:

As much as I admire Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, I was taken aback when he and some other pro-family leaders’ showered Mitt Romney with accolades leading up to the Massachusetts Governor’s recent pro-defense-of-marriage speech in Boston. This apparent signaling of Romney as the pro-family frontrunner for the GOP’s 2008 nomination was premature. That’s because, as my good friend Brian Camenker of the group MassResistance exposes in his report, “The Mitt Romney Deception,” Romney has a pretty long record of supporting homosexual and abortion “rights,” despite his Mormon religion…

Brian and his family have paid as high a price as anyone in this nation for standing up to the homosexual lobby, so when he warns me about the “real” Romney, I listen. As Camenker writes, “Desperate conservative voters have a sad history of being gullible to sweet-sounding politicians, then paying for it after the election. We can’t afford any more of that.”

I hope readers of Backwater Report will start to file away some of this information and pass it on to others at the appropriate times. We will soon be facing a barrage of demogoguery from both liberals and conservatives, who both end up being statists and no friend to godly principles. If Tony Perkins is already giving “accolades” to a politician who has used his position to promote sodomy, then you know you’ll need to have your ducks in a row when it’s time to discuss whether to cast your votes before swine in future elections.

Already, the Governor's staff is making appointments with the nation's leading conservative leaders to convince them that he should be the standard bearer for the conservative movement in the upcoming presidential elections.

Paying them, also. If he has to try that hard means he needs a whitewash job.

HA! List the ones that were paid!

Let's see in 2005 he gave $5000 to the Defend Traditional Family Fund in South Carolina which put traditional marriage in the state constitution. The man, who is a officer of the Christian Coalition, joins the Romney team today as an unpaid member.

James Bopp Jr. is unpaid.
Senator DeMint is unpaid.
Jay Sekaulow is un paid.
And the list goes on and on.

I think you may be denying the reality that he does appeal to conservatives, but it is just the 'Clinton Chronicle' types that see that everyone is in it for the money. LOL!

HA! List the ones that were paid!

Drew McKissick, the national coalition's secretary and board member, will be a paid "South Carolina grass roots adviser" for the campaign, Romney spokeswoman Gail Gitcho said Thursday.

I think you may be denying the reality

I'm denying? All you laughing and sarcasm - there's your paid guy!

Someone that was sincere would say, "I didn't know that'. but your pride speaks instead.

I must say, I am disappointed with Mitt. He was elected as a conservative and has given into the pressure of the left. Should he make it to the White House, will he and Pelosi become the best of buddies?
