The newest Rasmussen poll has Thompson at 44% and Clinton at 43%.
Yes, that's right...Senator Fred Thompson is one point ahead of the woman who is in the lead for the Democrat nomination!
Read on...
An American Research Group poll out of Iowa has Sen. Thompson 2 points ahead of Gov. Romney.
The newest Quinnipiac poll out of Ohio shows that the Senator and the Governor are tied.
The Governor who raised $6,500,000 in one day this year is, in one state, trailing a man who has contemplated the idea for a few seconds, and tied with him in another!
Not only does this spell doom for the Romney campaign, what about the bigger picture? What happens when Fred Thompson commits, and actually begins to raise money/campaign? He has basically done neither so far, and is ahead of the Democrat's frontrunner.

The media will support John McCain and Rudy only to stab them in the back after the nominating convention.
The media will stab Fred in the back, or just stab him, period, before the convention. I say lets get the stabbing done early. I think we can take it from there.
Absolutely. The media lovefest with McCain/Rudy will only last until the convention, then McCain/Rudy will be referred to as extremists and as hating women and the poor.
I anticipate that we will see some kind of ticket with Hunter and Thompson on it if this nation is to move forward in 08. All the other noise out there are either too moderate, or flat out rino's.
Polls are just for fun right now, but this one's a lot of fun!
Anyone could beat Hillary, even Fruity Giuliani, provided he stakes out a few positions that differ from hers. Gays? Guns? The greatness of Justice Ginsburg and Margaret Sanger? The search continues.
Fred ahead! I bet Hillary is throwing some ashtrays tonight. (And hollering, where's my file on that @#&*^%! Files, my pretties!!)
